Dear world

I quit

I suppose i should fill in a few more details of why. Basically I am exhausted, mentally and physically. Been strong for everyone else for 54 years, now its time to borrow from the 3 musketeers. All for one, and all for me. Ok borrow and change it a bit, sure they wont mind too much.

Basically everything hurts, yes, all the time. I am exhausted all the time, yes, all the time. My brain fog is constant, yes, constant.

I believed covid was real, I protected myself as best as I could. I went to work every day, we cleaned everyday. Even so I got covid, then long covid and then Fibromyalgia. Its the reason for the pain, the exhaustion and the other thing.

I can now spend time shouting at people who say covid wasn't real. Also that vaccines are poison and the earth is flat. Blind them with logic and science. If that fails, just call them names like they do to me. Vaccines are poison and we are going to all die if we take them. My first vaccine was over 40 years ago, I'm still more or less here.

Really I should spend time doing more important things, but it saves arguing with family. Just occasionally point out that if vaccines cause autism then what happened 120 years ago when it was first found. I must not argue, I must not argue.

Its time for everyone to look after me. I dont need a care home, not yet anyway. I can feed myself and use the toilet. I remember the important things, usually. I just forget names, places, personal history and what I'm in the middle of doing.

After 15 years of caring for people its now my turn. Maybe in return for not quitting before I should get a few weeks each year for free. Meals made, baths run and someone to sort my medication out. Feet up watching sport on the telly , whilst buried in social media. Its a good confidence boost to see some of the posters, almost should be be prescribed.

While having things prescribed maybe some light golf lessons, some light relaxation tips and an occasional nap advice. Also, when I got checked for my asthma recently I explained how my breathing improved by the coast. The doctor said I need to move to the coast. Now I'm quitting maybe I can hold her to her previous suggestion. Being prescribed a home on a beach sounds good to me. Maybe the nhs can buy a few properties and give them to patients until their health improves.

The job has been ok, usually, sometimes. It does often seem to make things harder then they need to be. Maybe let the employees run the job for a bit and see how it goes. Let them see how hard ,or not, it is. maybe they they will make things better, they couldn't get worse. Some of my now thankfully ex colleagues bemuse and confuse me, to be honest.

Multi tasking is part of life and part of the job. Some of them struggle to walk and talk at the same time. One of them manages to trip over fresh air, one seems unable to tie their own laces and one has to concentrate to breathe. Even some of the senior staff leave a lot to be desired, one has obviously taken The office as instructional rather then entertaining. trying to be a hippy boss one minute and a screaming banshee the next doesn't work.

I am sure I could list plenty of ways you could improve and get get more from your staff. Maybe you could hire me as a consultant. Triple my wages and cut my hours by three quarters and I will consider it. Make it a short term contract and your on. You will need to do as I suggest and things will improve for all. I promise not to suggest you sack yourself, well not at first anyway.

Thanks for paying me a tiny amount to spend more hours at work then time with my wife.

You've really been through a lot. It's crazy how some people still deny the reality of COVID and the benefits of vaccines. I've seen similar ignorance in my field. It's frustrating. You deserve to take care of yourself now. Maybe look into support groups for long COVID and Fibromyalgia. Have you thought about trying alternative therapies like acupuncture or massage for the pain?
