In general, there are two printing options: RGB and CMYK. Both RGB and CMYK are color mixing modes used in graphic design. To summarize, the RGB color mode is best for digital work, while CMYK is used for print products. However, in order to fully optimize your design, you must first understand the mechanisms underlying each. Let's go a little deeper.

However, when you use each one is dependent on a number of factors that must be decided before your packaging box design is printed. Let's get started.

What is the RGB Color Model?

The color space for digital images is RGB (Red, Green, and Blue). If your design will be displayed on any type of screen, use the RGB color mode.

A light source within a device can produce any color by combining red, green, and blue light and varying their intensity. All colors begin as black darkness, and then red, green, and blue light are added on top of each other to brighten it and create the perfect pigment. When equal amounts of red, green, and blue light are combined, they produce pure white. You can change any of these three colors by adjusting the saturation, sheading, and vibrancy.

RGB Uses

Suppose the purpose of the using color on digital screen Use the RGB color. This includes computers, smartphones, tablets, televisions, cameras, and other electronic devices.

• The design project includes-

• web & app design that's includes icons, buttons, graphics

• branding online logo and adds

• social media images for the post, profile pictures and profile background.

• visual content such as videos, digital graphics, infographics and photographs for website, social media and apps

File formats for RGB

Following are best format use of RGB

• JPEGs are ideal for RGB files because they compromise between file size and quality, and they can be read almost anywhere.

• Gifs, this file type would be ideal for animating elements such as moving logos, bouncing icons, fluting pictures, and so on.

• PNGs support transparency and are ideal for graphics that must be superimposed on top of others. Consider using this file type for interface elements such as buttons, icons, or banners.

• PSD is the standard source file for RGB documents, assuming that all team members are using Adobe Photoshop.

What is the CMYK Color Model?

The letters CMYK stand for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key are the colors used in the printing process. A printing press creates an image from these four colors by using dots of ink. Images are created by combining CMYK colors to varying degrees with physical ink in a printing machine. This is referred to as subtractive mixing. All colors begin as white, and each layer of ink reduces the initial brightness to produce the desired color. When all colors are combined, they form pure black.

Uses of CMYK

Use CMYK for any project design that will be printed rather than viewed on a screen. If you need to reproduce your design with ink or paint, the CMYK color mode will produce more accurate results.

• Branding,

For the binding purpose, the CMYK is used in business cards, stationery, stickers, signs & storefronts

• Advertising

For advertising, purpose CMYK is used for Billboards, posters, flyers, vehicle wraps, brochures

• Merchandise

t-shirts, hats and other branded clothing promotional swag (pens, mugs, etc.)

• Essential materials

As a product packaging and restaurant menus

File formats for CMYK

• AI

is the standard source file for CMYK, assuming all team members are working with Adobe Illustrator.

• ESP

because it is compatible with other vector programs, it can be a great source file alternative to AI.

• PDFs

are ideal for CMYK files because they are compatible with most programs.

If you require it, we can convert your logo or other file formats before printing to ensure that your printed design looks great. Keep in mind that the colors do not have a 1:1 correlation, but they can come very close to matching.
