13th Floor Haunted House 2019
During the spooky season of this year, I had the opportunity to work as a scare actor at 13th Floor Haunted House. The idea of working there for a while came from a combination of casual job searching and the idea that it would bring closure to me as someone who usually can't go through haunted houses without an extreme reaction. No one said being a scare actor would be easy, but there were also good things that came from working there for the season.

Tribeca Resident Mirrors the Origins of Human Expression on Buildings Across New York City with His Graffiti
Photo courtesy of Robert Janz Looking across the landscape of New York City and seeing all the graffiti on our buildings could lead to a rather low born opinion. The idle minds behind the scrawls carry a mentality not much more evolved than those of a Neanderthal. 86 year old Robert Janz of Tribeca counts himself among NYC artists who add to the scenery and would not only consider the critique a compliment but sees the perception as pretty insightful.

When to Use a Pen Name
When I wrote my very first “book,” I had no idea whether or not a single person would buy it. What I did know is that under no circumstances did I want my mom or kids or neighbors to buy it. Not only was the content a bit too steamy for the average grandma next door, but it was also just controversial enough that I wasn’t sure how my employer or the kids’ teachers would respond.

Reason First: Should Law Enforcement Act as Mental Health Care Professionals?
In opioid and heroin usage cases in New Castle County, Delaware, the police have devised a plan to curb the amount of injuries and deaths associated with using certain narcotics and the abuse of prescription drugs. While it would seem odd for an officer to carry a gun and drugs, it’s already happened in other cities. Police often are armed with both a pistol and a canister of naloxone. But what is more disturbing is the fact that they must now become physicians and psychiatrists on the beat. This is unacceptable. The role of police officers is to protect individual lives and property of the citizens of a given area. They are not shrinks with a badge. It is totally improper for the police in New Castle to become healthcare officials.

5 Things You Can Expect from Car Park Line Marking Services
Car park line marking services are very important, especially for parking lots in places like restaurants, shopping malls, airports and railway stations, and amusement parks. The car park line marking service is an essential aspect of such areas. Parking areas should use high-grade traffic paint while painting the proper markings, which makes it a lot more organized and helps give better direction. In cases of parking lots that do not have any line marks, the vehicle owners may just park their vehicles in a haphazard way. This, as a result, makes it different for vehicle owners to leave the parking lot because some vehicles tend to get stuck in between.

Chausson d’Or Ballerina Gracefully En Pointe
Nina Tonoli is one step away from becoming a Principal Ballerina. The Belgian born soloist has trained her body to be a storyteller for over a decade now. For her dedication, she’s earned the Special Prize Chausson d’Or in Paris and the Award of Excellence in Dance from the Royal Ballet School in London. Ballet and purpose met early for the 25-year-old. “At 10 years old, I went to a local ballet school to do my first ballet class. Since then, I’ve never stopped.” Nina’s first performance was Sleeping Beauty where she played a dwarf. Today she dances for the Dutch National Ballet.

How to Select the Right Doors for You
There’s a lot to consider when building and operating a farm shop. The first thing you’ll need when designing is to define your needs for the finished building. This will include what type of equipment you’ll need to store and regularly access, as well as what products or supplies will need to be saved.

The Story Determines Its Own Length
Some writers will tear their hair out over story length. I was sitting in my One-Act Play class during junior year of college, discussing the instructions on writing a paper with my classmates. I don't recall what the paper was about, but I remember our professor telling us it needed to be double-spaced, 12 pt. font, Times News Roman, and all that jazz. She also told us about all of the points we needed to cover, but one thing she didn't address was the length of the paper.

How to Make a Living as a Writer
A lot of people play with the idea of writing for a living. A few lucky people are born with fantastic connections that allow them to parley idiotic concepts like using sharks and tornadoes as the basis for a major film. Even when these films flop somehow there's still enough cash left over for these people to relax, drink, and lounge around doing nothing.

Tips for Ride-Share Passengers
I'm a ride-share driver. Four years ago, this gig was lucrative for drivers. Now? Not so much. Both Uber and Lyft claim they take no more than 25% of the total fair the rider is charged. This isn't always true. Many times, they take upwards of more than 40% of the fee the rider pays. We put thousands of miles on our vehicles yearly and beat them up all in the name of providing a service to the community.

Nurses Are Important Too
Nurses do so much more than what you see on TV or ads. Nurses are the majority of the reason we make it out of the hospital bed. They care for us, wipe some butts, and do it all with a smile (fake one, but still). They need appreciation, because let's face it... the doctors won't always give them a standing ovation. A 12 hour shift can turn nasty in two seconds. They walk around a hospital at impeccable speeds, carry everything in their pockets, and chart every respiration at a drop of a hat. The nurse life isn't always the easy life. So here's a few tips to help out your fellow nurses who work harder than anyone.
