Chrome Browser
What happens if you disable Google Chrome on an Android phone?

Currently, almost all types of Android devices on the market have built-in apps, which cannot be uninstalled or disabled even if desired. Some of them perform some basic functions of the device.
The first among these apps is Google Chrome. In this case, the question may arise about what kind of problems can occur if Google Chrome is disabled or disabled.
There are several reasons to choose Google Chrome as a browser, such as its attractive interface, device data synchronization, and ease of use. In addition, the question remains as to why many people do not express interest in using the app even after Google promised to improve its privacy and security features earlier this year.
Perhaps many people feel comfortable using other browsers like Opera, Qiwi, Firefox rather than Google Chrome. Or there may be complaints that Google Chrome takes up more space in the device's RAM, although such an argument will not be as acceptable as the storage capacity of lightweight Android mobile phones these days.
Be that as it may, there are many people who are not interested in using Google Chrome, whether due to differences in preferences or for any other reason.
What can happen if you disable Google Chrome from your device
Disabling Google Chrome on an Android phone won't make much of a difference. However, clearing its cache will remove Google Discover and ad services from your device. However, until you activate Android System WebView and install a new browser, everything will work normally.
Android System WebView basically works as a mini browser built into the app. For example, if you click on a website link while on YouTube or Reddit, WebView will open that webpage within the app instead of opening it separately in the browser.
Google Chrome can do this because it is independent of other apps. So, even if Google Chrome is not installed, WebView will not be affected. However, if you make sure that WebView is installed, WebView will work on its own, meaning that it will open separately when you access a website link. Since WebView is important to the performance and functionality of Android apps, its presence and activity exist on mobile phones. So it should not be disabled in any way on the Android system.
However, if Google Chrome is used as a basic thing and forcibly disabled from the device, some problems may arise. In that case, Google Chrome can be left alone unless there is a solution to any storage-related problems other than simply deleting it.

What can be done in this case is to put Google Chrome in sleep mode. As a result, Google Chrome will disappear from the app drawer but will remain in the device's storage as a file.
Google Chrome can be disabled by following a few steps. Although there are some differences depending on the mobile phone model, most of them are the same.
Go to Settings > Apps and find the Google Chrome app.
Then tap the Disable option at the bottom.
On some phones, if you hold the Google Chrome app on the home screen, you will only have to click on the word Disable.
Finally, go to Settings > Apps and find Android System WebView. It is in the first row according to the letter of the alphabet. Then you have to confirm whether it is installed or not.
If you do not show a warning before disabling it, there will be no problem using other apps. But since it remains in the file, some storage space will be occupied. However, if disabling Google Chrome is not enough, some additional tips can provide benefits.
How to Permanently Delete Google Chrome from Android Device
If you want to completely uninstall Google Chrome from your Android device, you need to delete the files via root or Android Debug Bridge (ADB). These two terms are, however, quite unfamiliar.
Although removing Chrome from an Android device via ADB is relatively easy, it can damage the device. Because it is impossible not to mention the importance of Google Chrome files, just like when disabling and uninstalling Google Chrome.
Should Google Chrome be disabled on Android devices
If you want to replace the primary browser on your device with another browser, you can easily disable Google Chrome by following a few steps. Apart from that, you can also use the device as normal by installing a new browser. Because completely deleting system apps can cause many problems. So, the space you are thinking of saving by uninstalling Google Chrome is surely not worth the potential damage to the device?
