Hi, I’m Char Wilcox

I’m running for 1 of the 7 positions of Councillor for the RM of Yellowhead. Vote Oct 26

I moved to Strathclair MB from BC with my hubby 7 years ago when we bought our house out here. We have had a few family members join us out here as well.

I have been in love with the community from the moment we arrived! So many new things to see and learn about. New landscapes and experiences, all the special little things that each town has to offer, and the great people everywhere!

Since I have lived in Strathclair, I’ve had the opportunity to work in the community at the co-op food store, writing for the Strathcliar review (when I started reading the council meeting minutes), and even running a Women's dance class for a couple of years.

I’m currently an online entrepreneur & Livestream show host in the digital world, and that continues here at home practicing in metaphysical & alternate healing professions.

I’m excited to step into this position with you, to learn, explore, and help shape our community for our future. I’m not going to make any empty campaign promises but I can promise to do my best for you, to listen to you, and to share the process as we progress.

I care deeply about clean, accessible water for our communities, I care about the resources in our communities and I care about environmental impact and sustainability.

Each community adds to the uniqueness of our municipality making it easy to want success for everyone with room to fill needs as they may arise. Our Yellowhead Broadband is top notch and I can go on about how much I love it.

My online business relies on exceptional internet and we are so fortunate to have that here in our RM as our Yellowhead broadband is the BEST internet connection that we have tried and it’s so wonderful that we have it as such a valuable local resource too!

A huge shout out to all the little communities of the RM of Yellowhead, it’s been fun exploring and getting to know you! I think that we can make the best out of the next 4 years together!
