A Resilient Days
Navigating Relationship, Pursuing Dreams, and Finding Strength In Independence.

In the quiet town of Radhar, a young woman named Kaira tossed and turned in her bed, unable to find the solace of sleep. Her stomach growled with hunger, but it was a hunger that went beyond the physical need for food. It was a hunger for companionship, for understanding, for a sense of belonging. She sat up, took a long sip of water, and stared out of the window into the dark night. "Hunger is the best sauce," an old proverb echoed in her mind, but it provided little comfort.
The next morning, Kaira called her friend Pruvin. They had been close once, sharing secrets and dreams, but lately, she felt a distance growing between them. She asked him to meet her near her place at 8:00 AM, but he didn't show up. The minutes turned into hours, and with each passing moment, her anxiety grew. When he finally arrived, her relief was short-lived. Frustration bubbled up inside her, and she couldn't hold back the words that tumbled out of her mouth. She scolded him for his tardiness, for not understanding the urgency of her call. He looked at her with hurt in his eyes, but she was too upset to care.
Later that day, Pruvin had to travel for 3 hours through heavy traffic to get to that place, and she felt guilty for putting him through that. As she lay in her bed that night, she couldn't shake off the feeling of being taken for granted. She slept fitfully, her dreams filled with scenes of arguments and misunderstandings.
The next day, Kaira applied for a job at a startup company called Swashin. She prepared for the interview by watching YouTube channels and practicing coding questions. She told her mom that she couldn't accompany her to sister's songs naming ceremony, because she needed to prepare for the interview. Her mom understood and wished her luck.
Kaira spent the next day at Radhar Properties, where she had done an internship, to get her internship certificate. She watched reels and felt happy, but also felt like she had wasted the day. She cooked dinner for her family and went to bed.
On Sunday, she attended her sister's and son's naming ceremony. She managed to arrange a pair of sandals for her saree and enjoyed the ceremony. After the ceremony, she took a train to Bangalore and reached home at 8:30 PM. She felt bad for being alone during this time, as her boyfriend was not there to support her.
The next day, Kaira had a job interview, which she was very excited about. She went to the interview with her classmate so they could split the bill. She made a good impression and got selected for the internship. She was thrilled, but she also felt nervous about the future.
That night, she went out with Pruvin, and two of her other friends, to a place called SOB. They had a great time and she felt at peace. However, she couldn't help but feel sad about Pruvin's lack of affection and how he seemed more interested in impressing others as they were playing pools(billiards).
In the end, Kaira realized that she needed to focus on herself and her own happiness. She couldn't let her relationship with define her self-worth or her future. She decided to prioritize her own needs and not let anyone take her for granted. She adopted affirmations like "I do not chase, I attract. What belongs to me finds me." and "I lose people who are not meant to be with the highest version of myself." She felt empowered and ready to take on the world.
