A Look At Somewhere New

It was late fall during the 2020 pandemic. A long time model journeyed into the woods to capture new content for a project. She had gone into the forest to pick up where she left off her acting career. Once she arrived she noticed that a new path had appeared. She was so surprised. Someone had opened up part of the forest that she had never explored.

So the model . her photographer, and a friend decided that they must travel the new path. They looked at the legend to learn what to expect. It was not just one path but two paths. So they took a look at the small pond where frogs were nesting and then started to enter the pathway. The scenery was beautiful. The trees were labeled to tell what type of tree it was. The path was lit by the sunlight and very few travelers were on the path.

After a very short walk into the forest, they discovered where trees were down. The photographer decided to walk across one of the logs that had fallen over an old stream. It was a dangerous walk but done successfully. Then they decided to walk a little farther into the forest. The model had decided to take a seat on one of the logs that was laying on the wayside. It was a perfect place to take a photo. Though the hike had worn down her hair it made for a naturally beautiful photo. They continued to walk further into the forest. Then they discovered a dark pond that was mysterious. It was hid under the trees where little light could get to it. It almost looked like a tiny swamp. They saw a glistening light on top of the water where some light managed to reach the dark looking water. After taking a look around they decided to keep moving down the path.

Next they saw a beautifully lit creek that was surrounded around huge rocks of many colors. The model and photographer took a seat on the rocks. They marveled at the scene of the natural forest. Then they snapped some more pictures . The two enjoyed taking pictures and taking an adventure into the forest. It was a perfect idea.

Farther down the path was a bunch of what looked like tiny wooded homes. It looked very primitive. So they both took a look inside of the tiny homes. It was a perfect spot to take a seat during the hike. They talked and explored there a little longer before moving on down the path. Then they saw the path begin to go uphill. All of a sudden the photographer and friend decided to have a race. They took off while the model was admiring the beauty of the forest. She had to run and catch up with them. She discovered her photographer had won the race and that they were now at the end of the path. So they were back where they had started and talked about the highlights of their hike.

As they were wrapping up their hiking adventure they knew they had to go back into the forest one day. They hadn't explored everywhere. It was such a huge forest and they knew that more beauty could be discovered. They knew it was getting late and that they shouldn't be out there at night. They didn't bring gear to camp. So they needed to leave and grab some snacks. That walk left them with a big appetite. So they packed up their things and loaded up the car. They took off to go back where they came from once again. They traveled through the another part of the forest that was very familiar to them. They were ready to be back home in comfort. That hike was unexpected and not what they had originally planned to do that day but they were glad to have discovered it. It brought smiles to their faces and gave them a chance to explore something new.
