Affiliate Marketing for Beginners

Affiliate marketing can seem like a daunting task to new entrepreneurs, but it’s really not as complicated or hard as you might think. In fact, with the right mindset and tools, you can start making money in your niche within as little as an hour!
In this article,I’ll show you how to start affiliate marketing and make money online by using 7 basic steps that anyone can follow. Let’s get started!
I started in the Biz Op/ Make Money Online niche and found the best platform to help me was the OLSP Academy.
Step 1: Choose Your Product
To start affiliate marketing, the first step is to choose your product. There are a few different options you can choose from, including digital downloads, physical products, and information products.

Once you decide on a product, it is important that you know how much it will cost to buy this product wholesale and how much profit margin there will be on the purchase price. You also need to think about your audience and what they might want or need from this type of product.
Step 2: Get Familiar With the Product
There are many different strategies you can use when you start affiliate marketing. One of the most popular methods is creating your own product. If you are not a business owner or don't have an idea for a product, there are several ways to get started.
One method would be to find out what products your audience needs and then offer them a solution. This way, you will have an easier time starting affiliate marketing because you won't have to spend time or money on developing something that people don't need or want.
Another strategy is starting with someone else's product and giving it away in exchange for their service.
Step 3: Research Your Competition

In order to start affiliate marketing successfully, you need to do your research and figure out who your competitors are. Researching your competition will help you determine the best way in which you can differentiate yourself from them.
You should also use this research to find out what products or services they're currently advertising. This will allow you to better understand their customers, their marketing techniques and the success of their business.
Step 4: Run A/B Tests
When starting affiliate marketing, many businesses will run A/B tests by simultaneously offering two different offers.
The results of the test are in how many of your prospective customers click on one offer vs. the other.
This can help you determine which promotional materials and designs yield the best results so you know what to use when running affiliate marketing campaigns in the future.
Step 5: Set Goals and Keep Track of Results
One of the most important parts of starting affiliate marketing is setting goals. Setting goals helps you keep track of your progress and can help you see what's working and what isn't.

To set goals, list out your end goal, then break it down into manageable chunks that will take you one step closer to your end goal. For example, if one of your goals is to make $1,000 per month from affiliate marketing, then your next goal could be reaching $500 per month.
If this goal is achieved, then set a new goal at $750 per month and so on. This will create a plan and will also show you when it's time to change strategies or give up a certain affiliate offer because it isn't working.
Step 6: Write A Compelling Sales Page
When it comes to copywriting, you are only as good as your last sales page. A compelling sales page is the product of hours and hours of content research, creative brainstorming, and market study.
A great sales page takes a lot of work. But so does starting affiliate marketing in general!
Step 7: Promote Your Product Online
Since affiliate marketing is about promoting a product or service, it's important that you promote the offer online.
This is the service/platform I promote on a daily basis.
You can do this by using social media, blogging and email marketing. The best way to start affiliate markets is by hosting your own blog or website. This will give you control over every aspect of how people see your offer as well as how often they see it and where they see it.
