There is almost never a sure recipe to achieve the performance you dream of and to get as high as possible in the industry in which you operate. However, there are several variables that you can control to be the best at what you do. And being good in your field is not only about the knowledge itself, but also about the way in which you manage to use it and put it in a balance with your communication and management skills.

The basic recommendations you receive from everyone and the practical advice help and it is important to know them. But their effect could be zero if you do not reset your mentality of believing in yourself and succeeding in changing even the field in which you operate if you feel that you are no longer attracted or if you feel that you can no longer make more impact and value in what you do.

Here are 5 career tips that no one will tell you.

1. Find a job that creates impact

Regardless of the job you choose, it is important to be one that creates impact and brings added value to those around you. There are many ways you can change the lives of others, through the product you create or promote.

Precisely for this reason, your work will be relevant and you will have to do it as well as you can. Of course, the easy way is to follow the money line, which will take you to prestigious companies, where you will definitely get financial stability.

It's just that at the end of the day, what you leave behind is important. A job that creates impact will bring you greater satisfaction.

2. Don't limit your career opportunities

Let's take a concrete example. You studied biology and decided to study medicine to become a doctor. But along the way you realize that in fact medicine is not your real calling and that you do not feel comfortable to continue in this field.

The most important thing in this situation is to be able to take your career into your own hands and change your path. Don't limit yourself to the original path you have chosen. You will not create an impact around you if you give yourself who you do not want to be and become.

But in practice we all know that it is not so difficult to give up, so if you still want to not leave behind all the precious knowledge you have accumulated there are solutions.

medical. You can easily integrate in the field of research, where you can contribute to finding new treatments for curing diseases. Or, you could invest in medical companies, just as you could become a biotechnology entrepreneur.

You can also make a huge contribution to the development of state-of-the-art health policies to help save lives. Your last job is never your last job.

3. Be "the person" everyone asks for help

People who excel in a field attract a constant amount of appreciation. Everyone "runs" after those people because it requires their expertise to find solutions to many problems.

Be the cool person that everyone runs after to listen to him and ask for his opinion.

4. Treat everyone with respect

The title of your job is irrelevant, just as the size of your bank account is just as irrelevant. What matters is how you behave with the people you work with. Treat everyone with decency, respect and kindness.

It may sound obvious and cliché, but it is one of the most overlooked things in today's organizations. We still have bosses looking down on employees, just as there are employees who think they are superior to their other colleagues.

Somehow, as many ascend the hierarchical ladder, they forget these basic principles.

5. Stop talking and get down to business

Be a doer, not a talker, sounds the English expression that many of you know. It's one thing to talk about one thing and another to do it. People who tell you what they will do never match those who do the job.

Don't tell people how to make higher sales, go straight to the point. Facts are demonstrated by deeds, not words.
