You know, it's that time of year again where you look back at the progress you've made so far and assess the road ahead. What better way to prepare for the next chapter of your life than to indulge in this list?

In this story, we're going over all the things you can do to make your next year the best one yet. Here are 15 one-time decisions that can 100x your productivity so you can get ahead and crush your goals.

Welcome to Rahul Sanaodwala's Stories, the place where future billionaires come to get inspired!

1. Get Yourself a Whiteboard

There's a massive difference between what's inside your head and what you manifest into reality. One of our top productivity hacks is having a whiteboard. At the very top, write your next big goal.

The whiteboard sits in our office, next to our workplace, so we can't miss it. Something incredible happens to your brain when you put things in writing. Taking an idea from your mind and committing it to reality is essential to progress. It allows you to take a step back and see what you're trying to build, much like an architect or designer figuring out what could be improved.

2. Don’t Try to Remember Everything

The main function of your brain isn't to remember things but to generate ideas that bring value to your life. Start writing things down.

The notes function on your phone works fine—and it's free. If you feel more hipster, start carrying around a notepad with you and quickly jot things down as they come to mind.

When it comes to events or things you have to do, everyone successfully uses a calendar for a reason. We actually prefer Google Calendar over Apple’s version. Everything goes in there.

One of the worst feelings is remembering you had a great idea but not being able to recall exactly what it was. A habit like this solves that problem. If you don't have pages upon pages of ideas written down, you're doing it wrong, my friend.

3. Find Your Peak Hours

Certain moments during the day are when you're at the top of your game—these are called peak hours.

For most people, these happen in the morning or the first half of the day. You might think you're a night owl. We thought so too, until we compared our results.

For us, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. is when we absolutely crush it. Once you identify your peak hours, block off 2–4 hours per day to focus on things that truly matter. Use these peak hours consistently, and you'll never have to worry about getting things done again.

4. Prepare Things the Night Before

This has been one of the biggest productivity hacks for us. Everything we prepare the night before gets done the following day—it's like a weird life cheat code.

For example, if you put your trainers by the door and tell yourself you'll go for a run tomorrow morning, you're four times more likely to follow through. The fewer distractions between you and your goal, the higher the likelihood you'll achieve it.

Prepare things the night before, and you're already halfway there, my friend.

5. 10 Minutes of Mind Focus Per Day

This was a true game-changer for us. Every morning, while having your coffee, spend 10–15 minutes looking out the window and defragmenting your mind.

It's a combination of meditation and self-coaching. Think about your goals, break them down, and get yourself motivated. Most people never think productively about their lives; their minds are in a continuous state of chaos and worry.

6. Automate and Delegate as Much as Possible

Time is your most valuable resource, so treat it like gold. Look at everything you're doing and ask: Can this be automated or delegated?

Automation tools like Zapier or Notion can save hours of repetitive work. As for delegation, hire someone or use platforms like Fiverr or Upwork for tasks that take up too much of your time.

You’re not Superman or Wonder Woman; you don’t have to do it all yourself. Letting go of non-essential tasks will let you focus on what truly matters.

7. Set Up an Ergonomic Workspace

You spend countless hours working, so why not make it as comfortable and efficient as possible?

Invest in a good chair, a desk with the right height, and proper lighting. Get a second monitor if your work involves multitasking.

An ergonomic workspace not only boosts productivity but also prevents long-term health issues like back pain or eye strain. You’ll feel better and work better, too.

8. Invest in Tools That Save You Time

This is the digital age; you have access to incredible tools that can save hours every single week.

Need to organize your life? Tools like Notion or Asana are great for task management. Want to streamline communication? Slack and Zoom can help.

Evaluate your workflow and identify where time is wasted. The right tools are worth every penny if they make your life easier.

9. Schedule a Weekly Review

Every Sunday or Monday, set aside 30 minutes to review your week. Look at what you achieved, what went wrong, and what you could improve.

This simple habit keeps you aligned with your goals and allows you to course-correct early. It’s like being your own life coach.

Use this time to plan your next week, prioritize tasks, and set realistic goals. Weekly reviews are one of the most underrated productivity hacks ever.

10. Say No to Things That Don’t Add Value

This might sound harsh, but not every opportunity or invitation deserves your attention.

Learn to say no to things that don’t align with your goals or add value to your life. You don’t owe anyone an explanation; your time is precious.

By focusing only on what truly matters, you’ll make faster progress and feel less stressed. Remember, every yes is a no to something else.

11. Create Systems, Not Just Goals

Goals are great, but systems are better.

Instead of just saying, "I want to lose 10 pounds," set up a system where you work out 4 times a week and meal prep every Sunday.

Systems create habits, and habits lead to consistent results. Build systems for your health, finances, relationships, and career, and watch your life transform.

12. Read More Books

Successful people are lifelong learners. One of the easiest ways to learn is by reading books.

If you’re not much of a reader, start with audiobooks. Listen while commuting or doing chores.

Books are like mentors who share their wisdom with you. Even one good idea can change the trajectory of your life. Aim for at least one book a month.

13. Track Your Time

Ever wonder where your day goes? Start tracking your time, and you’ll find the answer.

Tools like Toggl or RescueTime can help you see how much time you’re spending on work, social media, or other activities.

Once you know where your time is going, you can make better decisions and cut out low-value activities. Awareness is the first step to improvement.

14. Build Your Network

It’s not just what you know but who you know that matters. Start networking intentionally.

Attend events, join online communities, and connect with people in your industry. Building relationships opens doors you didn’t even know existed.

Remember, your network is your net worth. Nurture it.

15. Take Care of Your Health

No amount of productivity hacks will help if your health is in shambles.

Eat well, exercise regularly, and get enough sleep. It’s basic advice, but it works.

Without good health, everything else falls apart. Treat your body like the temple it is, and it’ll reward you with energy and longevity.

And there you have it—15 one-time decisions that can 100x your productivity! Incorporate these into your life, and you’ll set yourself up for incredible success.
