Awkward American Questions

In America , The idea of Awkward American Questions might be more common, in American culture can be fascinating but for the rest of the world it is interesting and peculiar .
1. "What do you do?" This question is quite common in the US and often asked early in conversations, reflecting a culture that places significant importance on one's job or career.
but for some people in other countries , apart of job interview , people don't ask this question .
Once i went to a grocery store, I was waiting there in line. suddenly a passerby came in and asked, "How much is 1 kg potatoes ?"
Grocery shop owner asked "are you new to this area ?"
passerby replied "yes"
then shop owner asked" what do you do"
passerby shouted "i just asked potato price, not your properties " and then he left from there .
2."How are you?" - Although common, it's often used more as a greeting rather than a genuine inquiry into one's well-being.
normally in others places this question people don't ask strangers. we only ask friends and families
3."Can you get free refills here?" - In the US, free refills at restaurants are quite common, but this isn't the case everywhere in the world.
If you ask free refill they might kick you out very politely .

10."Do you have any allergies?" - This question is often asked at social gatherings or when inviting someone over for a meal, as there's a strong awareness and accommodation for food allergies and intolerances in the US. This might seem overly cautious or less common in other cultures where such allergies aren't as prevalent or openly discussed.
Never thought of this question in my life, before inviting a guest. it might be very awkward if i ask.
These are few questions that offer a glimpse of American cultural habits that can seem quirky or even awkward to those not accustomed to them.
