Introspecting My way Forward.
You know those times when, like the L.C. Schafer's Grinch, you really want to tip, tip-toe into Vocal and spread some hate, hate, hate and actually 'loatheeeeeeee' the fact that you haven't won a challenge, placed second, or even gleaned a tiny slice of the 'runner up' pie.

Vocal 2024 – I’m Still Here For More!. Top Story - January 2024.
Ah… such a trigger this challenge! I hate to admit it, but, I was ready to give up on Vocal this year. I had already determined it in my heart of hearts. Imagine… a senior citizen having low self-esteem! You’d think that in my almost 67-year lifespan, I’d learned a thing or two, but, no…I was ready to quit.

Interview On Vocal For My 2024, Aspirations:
Today I have an interview with myself, Mariann Carroll. Did you Know I wrote 162 stories last year 2023 with 80,021 words in total? That’s quite an accomplishment for me. I had to critique Bridget Jones’ Diary the movie and I received over 200 reads from it. What amazed me the most was that I got over 20 Top Stories. I could not believe it. I felt someone needed to pitch me to see if I was dreaming.

Questions with Rick Henry Christopher. Top Story - January 2024.
Thank you Rick Henry Christopher for this idea: 1. What type of writer do you feel you are? I’m a harlot. I’m anybody’s. That’s why I’m here. I’m an avid barn dancer; I love to dance but only when someone in a cowboy hat is calling the moves. In the freedom of the disco I will cling to the wall in the knowledge my moves are hopeless. Just give me the first foothold on the mountain, I will climb it, or have a go. With varying success. I have just attempted my first ever crime story, for example, which I would not have done without a little shove.

The Great What If?
Preamble: Honestly, Dall-E/ChatGPT produced the above, following this prompt "can you create an image similar to the painting The Scream with a cocker spaniel, the moon, a big sign in the back that says clearly "What If?" and a person that looks like Donald Trump getting punched in the belly. Make it 1280 x 720 please"
