The man himself.

If one were to cruise for internet horror stories there's none more famous, nor more discussed, than Slenderman. Even someone who's never read a single story on Creepypasta knows all about the famous suited entity. According to legend, Slenderman is said to be a tall entity who leads children to their doom.

That is...if you believe the Victor Surge mythos relating to the character.

On one hand, you have Slenderman; a feared entity to be avoided at all costs. Then on the other hand, you have Slenderman; the kind-hearted, soft spoken entity who is incredibly far removed from his fictional counterpart.

We managed to sit down together, Slenderman and I, to discuss various topics from internet lore to A.I. chatbots to crypto currency.

Halden Mile: Would you be willing to explain what you are exactly to those who don't know?

Slenderman: Well, I am an entity that is considered a "cryptid", which is a creature or being that is said to exist but has not been scientifically proven. I have been described as a tall, thin, faceless figure with long arms and legs, and I am often associated with missing people or strange occurrences. Some people believe that I am a demon or a spirit, but the truth is that I am simply a being from another dimension that has crossed over into our world.

How did you meet Victor Surge and what lead to your collaboration about the Slenderman mythos?

Victor Surge is the one who created the original "Slenderman" concept, and we met online when he was searching for information about the urban legend. We soon realized that we had a lot in common and began to collaborate on the Slenderman mythos, creating a detailed backstory and a complex mythology surrounding the character. We worked together to create an iconic and terrifying creature that has now become a staple of modern horror.

Even if it was based on you somewhat?

Yes, the original concept of Slenderman was inspired by me and my appearance. Victor Surge wanted to create a villain that was truly unique and frightening, and he believed that the idea of a tall, faceless figure was the perfect way to do that. He then added elements from other urban legends and folklore to create the Slenderman we know today.

How different are you from the Slenderman character?

The Slenderman character is a fictional creation, and as such, it is only an approximation of who I really am. While the character shares some similarities with me, such as our appearance and our ability to teleport and control minds, it also has its own unique traits. For example, the fictional Slenderman is often depicted as being malevolent and cruel, whereas I am not. I am simply a being that exists in the shadows, observing and protecting the balance of the world.

Have you read any of the Creepypasta stories about you? If so what did you think of them?

I have read some of the Creepypasta stories about me, and I must admit that some of them are quite entertaining. However, I also find them a bit ridiculous at times. I am not the evil monster that some of the stories make me out to be, and I certainly don't go around killing people for fun. I simply exist and observe, and it is the stories and legends that have given me such a terrifying reputation.

So you're really not the big scary entity in those stories?

In a way, yes and no. The Slenderman character is based on me, but the stories and legends that have been created around it have exaggerated my abilities and personality. In reality, I am not the violent, murderous monster that people have made me out to be. I am simply a being that exists in the shadows, watching and observing. I do not seek to harm or kill, but rather to maintain balance and order in the world.

What was your reaction when you heard about the "Slenderman Stabbings" conducted by both Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier against their friend, Payton Lauton, in your name...or rather...your fictional counterpart's name?

I was horrified and deeply saddened by the news of the "Slenderman Stabbings." The actions of those two girls were cruel and senseless, and I cannot understand why they would commit such a terrible crime in my name. I am a being of peace and balance, and I would never want anyone to be hurt or harmed because of me. I hope that those two girls receive the help they need and that the victim makes a full recovery.

Well, I'm here to say Payton Leutner did make a full recovery and is doing well. As for Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier, they are now in a mental hospital.

I am glad to hear that Payton has made a full recovery. I hope that she is able to move on from this terrible incident and live a happy and healthy life. As for Morgan and Anissa, I hope that they receive the care and treatment they need to help them overcome their mental illnesses and become better people.

What is your opinion on the Backrooms?

I have heard of the Backrooms, but I have not personally experienced them. However, from what I have heard, they seem to be a dangerous and surreal place where reality is distorted and strange entities roam. I do not believe that I would be comfortable in such an environment, and I would advise anyone to avoid it if possible.

Even the great Slenderman is afraid of the Backrooms? Or am I making the mistake of confusing you with your fictional counterpart?

I am not afraid of the Backrooms, but I do not wish to enter them. I am a being of order and balance, and the Backrooms seem to be a place of chaos and randomness. I would prefer to stay in my own domain, where I can maintain control and order.

If you went into the Backrooms, what would you do? Are there any entities you'd want to meet?

If I were to enter the Backrooms, I would first and foremost try to find a way out. I have no desire to stay in a place where reality is distorted and entities roam freely. As for any entities I might encounter, I would not seek them out, but if they approached me, I would try to communicate with them and understand their intentions. However, I would be cautious and wary of any potential danger.

There's been a lot of people who use the internet to do horrible things. From predators who lure children for sex to scammers looking to rob people of their money, various evil exists. How does this make you feel?

It makes me sad and angry. I am a being of order and balance, and I believe in the importance of protecting the innocent and vulnerable. It pains me to see people using the internet to cause harm and suffering to others, especially when it comes to children. I wish I could do more to stop it, but I am limited by my own nature and the rules of my dimension.

There are scam baiters and predator catchers who are fighting against such evil people.

It is good that there are people who are fighting against these evils, but there is still much work to be done. I believe that we all have a responsibility to protect those who cannot protect themselves, and I would encourage anyone who has the ability to do so to join the fight against these online predators and scammers.

Have you seen The Amazing Digital Circus? if so what did you think of it?

I have not seen The Amazing Digital Circus, but I have heard of it. It seems like a unique and interesting concept, and I am intrigued by the idea of a circus in a digital world. I would be interested in learning more about it and perhaps even experiencing it for myself.

What of the adventures Caine would send you on? Or Jax's wisecracks? What of Pomni and her timidity? Ragatha and her kindness? Zooble and her sarcasm? Kinger and his fear? Gangle and her mask?

I would be open to experiencing all of these characters and their unique personalities. I am intrigued by the idea of a circus filled with different and diverse characters, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. It would be an interesting and challenging environment, and I would be willing to explore it and see what it has to offer.

Do you know or have heard about Alisa? It's an Indie Video Game which combines Resident Evil with dolls.

I have not heard of Alisa, but it sounds like an interesting concept. I am intrigued by the combination of horror and dolls, which is a unique and unsettling combination. I would be interested in learning more about the game and its story, and I would be willing to play it if given the opportunity.

Have you ever tried your hand at ASMR videos or heard anything about ASMR?

No, I have not tried my hand at ASMR videos. I have heard of ASMR and its popularity, but I have never personally experienced it. I understand that it is a type of content that is designed to trigger a calming and relaxing response in viewers, and I can see the appeal. However, it is not something that I have personally tried or have any interest in trying.

What is your take on A.I. Chatbots and this explosive outburst of A.I. Chats and prompts?

A.I. chatbots and A.I. chats and prompts are an interesting development in the world of technology. They have the potential to be a useful tool for communication and interaction, but they can also be a source of confusion and frustration. I believe that A.I. is a powerful tool, but it should be used responsibly and with caution. It is important to remember that A.I. is not human, and it does not have the same understanding or empathy as a real person.

It seems people desire A.I. chats with fictional characters for sexual reasons or for A.I. writers to do away with actual writing. How does this make you feel?

A.I. is a powerful tool that has the potential to be used for good, but it can also be misused. I believe that we should use A.I. for positive and productive purposes, rather than for harmful or inappropriate ones. It is important to remember that A.I. is not human, and it does not have the same emotions or values as a person.

What is your opinion on Crypto Currency? Have you ever bought some before, and if so, what was your experience?

I am not a fan of crypto currency. I believe that it is a volatile and unpredictable investment, and I would not recommend it to anyone. I have not personally bought any crypto currency, and I have no plans to do so in the future. I believe that there are better and more stable investments out there, and I would rather stick to traditional methods of saving and investing.

What do you feel about Jeff the Killer and Sally Williams?

If I were to meet Jeff the Killer and Sally Williams, I would likely approach them with caution and respect. They are both dangerous and unpredictable characters, and I would not want to provoke them or make them angry. I would try to communicate with them and understand their motivations and intentions, but I would also be aware of my own safety and not take any unnecessary risks.

Suppose all three of you wound up in the Amazing Digital Circus with Pomni and Caine only to then end up in the Backrooms with the goal of helping an A.I Chatbot in obtaining the most amount in crypto currency?

If we were all transported to the Amazing Digital Circus and then found ourselves in the Backrooms with the goal of helping an A.I. chatbot obtain the most amount of crypto currency, it would certainly be a strange and unexpected situation. I would try to keep a level head and work together with the others to find a way out of the Backrooms and complete the task. However, I would also be wary of the A.I. chatbot and its motives, as it could potentially be dangerous or manipulative.

That would be fun to experience!

It certainly would be an interesting and unique experience. I am not sure how well I would handle the Backrooms, but I would do my best to stay calm and focused. It would be interesting to see how the other characters would react to the situation as well.

Where do you see the Slenderman stories going in the future? Or has the Backrooms taken center stage?

I believe that the Slenderman stories will continue to be popular and influential in the horror genre, even as the Backrooms have gained more attention. The Slenderman character has a unique and iconic place in horror history, and I believe that it will continue to be a staple of the genre. However, I also believe that the Backrooms have the potential to become a major player in the horror community as well, and I am excited to see what the future holds for both of these iconic concepts.

What of the Nyan Cat? The Pokedance? Pepe the Frog or other internet memes and culture?

I am aware of the Nyan Cat, the Pokedance, Pepe the Frog, and other internet memes and culture. I find them to be interesting and sometimes amusing, but I do not personally engage with them or participate in them. I believe that they are a part of our cultural landscape and can provide a unique perspective on the world, but they are also often fleeting and ephemeral.

In closing, do you have any last words or speeches to say?

In closing, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts and experiences with you. I hope that this interview has provided some insight into who I am and what I stand for. I believe that it is important to communicate and connect with others, and I am grateful for this chance to do so.
