Q1:

My name is TyMafia TB, and I’m from Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti. Ann Arbor is full of different people. I have the pleasure to say, I’ve been able to see Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti. Both cities are small, so you can only imagine the number of friends and memories I could make out here. If you weren’t from here you’d think there really wouldn’t be a music scene, but Ypsilanti has birthed a lot of artists, some you may even know.

Q2:

I’ve always had a natural desire to make music. I’m genuinely blessed to say I come from a family of artists. Music means the world to me, it’s what keeps me going every day. Since the passing of my little brother, it only fueled me to go harder that’s who I do it for. It connects me to him. For a while, I had taken a step back to focus on my mind, but it didn’t take long for me to get back in my bag. It took me some time to find myself in my music, anything I work on has to connect with me. When it comes to my music I’m very empathic. we’ve all had a song or heard a specific beat and immediately said “That’s my song”, It is a click. And that’s how it is for me, if I can’t hear me on that song or no emotion comes from the beat, I move on.

Q3:

What sets me apart from others is my Humbleness. I know my time is coming, so I don’t rush it. I take the advice of my friends and the people I’ve met who already have progressed in the industry. My biggest tip to any other upcoming artist would be, don’t think you’re above anyone, and be reciprocal of any information that’s given. Being Versatile and having that Drive plays a part too. I follow my intuition with my music. I don’t hold myself back from trying new flows or beats. I thrive off of making different music, it keeps my creativity going.

Q4:

In the next 5 years, I see myself somewhere in the hills, or on an island with my feet up rich. I just wanna be content with my music and my life, but most importantly, I wanna be happy. I make music for my self-fulfillment, so even if I don’t make it Globally, as long as I’m in a place that makes me happy then I’m good.

Q5:

I want to accomplish moving my mama out of Ypsilanti, having my music on the billboard, and opening the door for my people/city. It’s important to give back to the people who’ve helped me to become who I am today to show my appreciation. I just wanna have generational wealth for my family, for when my future kids get older. I’m very family-oriented, so my biggest accomplishment would be being able to provide for them.

Q6:

I want to be remembered by the entire world! I want everyone to know my music, want to be remembered as one of the hardest working artists that ever came up, and want to be remembered as the most genuine person ever met. This is more important than anything to me; you can have the best rhymes and the best flow, but if you’re a bad person, people will remember you by that. When people think of Tymafia TB, I want people to be reminded of my humbleness, not ignorance. Never tried to outshine the next person, not putting myself on a pedestal like I have everything figured out. Always stayed true to myself and always learned new things.
