Getting to know model Natalee Haaland

Tell us about you Natalee:

My name is Natalee Haaland and I am from New York.

I love modeling because it allows me to show the world that being different and unique is beautiful. That being afraid to show our weaknesses are our biggest strengths. Modeling gives me a sense of freedom that makes me feel alive. The fact that I can be myself in front of the camera without fear of being judged keeps me coming back for more.

I am different because I used to care immensely what others thought of me but not anymore. Let me explain why. To be honest the fear of how other people saw me was mind blowing. To think that not too long ago I couldn’t be myself around others, feeling like I had to fake it to make it. Just 2 years ago, I was in a horrendous car accident where I was given 20 minutes to arrive at the hospital or I would bleed out internally from the impact of the seat belt on my stomach. Fortunately I had access to an amazing surgeon that saved my life. Despite all I went through, I will forever be grateful for that experience as it showed me that at any moment life can be taken away. We must make the most out of every second before it’s too late. I was given a second chance at life and will never again go back to the old mindset that I used to have. Never again will I think twice about following a dream I have, as maybe tomorrow I won’t have the chance to achieve it. Now my eyes have been opened to the world and I want to tell others to take the opportunities that are given and to not think about the what if, but to think of what could be.

In 5 years I see the products that I sell in my Amazon FBA business being on page one and I see a person that doesn’t hesitate to do what I set my mind to. Being a woman in the business world can be tough at times but the true beauty is going against the stereotypes and proving other people wrong. I see myself modeling to make a change and to continue to feel the freedom that comes with it. Finding freedom in doing things that we love is on another level of accomplishment. If we don’t feel free, we can never reach our full potential. I believe the dreams that scare us the most, have the greatest chance of working out, if we overcome them and stop thinking about how others will perceive us. Fear and freedom have a thin line between them.

In life I want to accomplish feeling proud and successful in everything I do. I want to feel like I contributed something meaningful into the world and made a change. I want to help women feel empowerment with the ability to make their own decisions, and the right to influence societal change for themselves and others.

To the modeling world, I bring confidence and persistence out into myself and others. I show others that not being afraid to be who you are, will empower you. And that no matter the hardships we live through, we can always keep following our dreams.

People will forget what you said, and they will forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel. And this is what I want to be remembered by. Through personal experience the little things go a long way which shows that kindness has the power to transform lives.
