Antoinette L Brey, 2023 Modern Day Hustler

Antoinette L Brey is a hard working lady, her life motto ““ if you want it you got to work for it.” She is now retired. She created over 165 stories on Vocal . You may see her at the local Jazz band on Tuesdays hangout in her town.

She been writing since elementary school. “I have been writing ever since elementary school. back then I had a journal, with poems, and very short stories.”

Antoinette favorite sports team football, she was routing for the Chiefs. She was lucky last year they did really well., Baseball she have been routing for the Padres and the Brewers she also route for Toronto, It depends whose playing against who. She pick according to the players. There are many very good looking men on the blue jays, She often route for them, and of course some of the guys are great at getting on base- so she route for them as well.

If you like to travel , Antoinette is looking for a travel partner.

Mariann : Where are you from?

Antoinette: I live in North Carolina.

Mariann: What do you like to write about and why?

Antoinette: I like to right poems and fiction. I enjoy writing about things that are based on my imagination, although occasionally I slip in aspects of my life.

Mariann: If you were a book what title would you give yourself?

Antoinette: Silent and sweet- with a bite. I am not very outgoing, and can usually understand other people's perspectives, but I do get angry. If I get really angry I do sometimes appear to have a bite.

Mariann: What is your real life schedule and how do you fit your writing in it?

Antoinette: I am retired, and actually have a very easy going schedule. I schedule my writing around my motivation. If I like the vocal challenge I write several stories. Some I am lucky to put out one. The playlists I don't know how to do, so I skip those. I am also an artist, I don't have any schedule conflicts with my writing and doing both.

Mariann: What do you like most about writing?

Antoinette: I like the way I feel when I write. Writing makes me feel well balanced. It helps me think out loud and exploring the story, helps me pull my own life together.

Mariann: What’s your main goal in writing ?

Antoinette: I usually don't complete the whole story for a challenge. I usually take several hours to before, I do submit. If I wrote 11 or 12 chapters it would take me awhile. I have a few unfinished stories.

Mariann : What is the best word to describe you?

Antoinette: Not sure of the best word to describe my self in. Some friends think I am very driven. Maybe hustler.

Mariann: What’s does your writing space look like?

Antoinette: I do not really have a writing space. Before my laptop died I would write anywhere. Now I sit where I have the desktop computer. I am hoping to get another laptop so I can travel and write.

Mariann: If you were given one wish what would you wish for and what would you exchange for that one wish ?

Antoinette: That I would find someone to travel with. That I would consult with them thus giving up total life determination. Not that I totally have it now.

I like to take photos, and explore the nature, eat in local dives. I like to explore history but would not want to go to a lecture over half a hour. I also do not want to go broke on the trip.

Mariann: Where have you traveled to ?

Antoinette: I went to Peru with my church, When I was younger I went to England and Canada. I need a travel partner.

Mariann: Do you have any Siblings?

Antoinette: I have a sister who I am in contact with. I have two step brothers and one step sister who I no longer call.

Mariann: How do you unwind from your day of hustling?

Antoinette: I try to watch the football and baseball games to relax. I actually schedule the rest of day around them. Usually when the game is on I will clean or draw. If my team is doing well I relax. Sometimes I go out to walk with friends. We talk and take photos. I unfortunately don't do that as often as I would like. Due to the weather and my friends' schedules.

I actually enjoy the things I do for work, except maybe some of the computer work. I often arrive at a friends near tears to explain something to me on my computer. He works in a gelato shop, so I buy a gelato. But usually I draw, to help me relax.I sometimes ake a bath or shower to relax. I have this scrub from Victoria Secret.

Usually the best way to calm my mind, is to either get busy doing something, or to relax listening to music, or sitting on my porch and suntanning.
