Glimpse of Atomic Historian’s Life Photos

Atomic Historian is one of Vocal’s talented historian Creator. He has serve our country in keeping it safe. He enjoy exploring Latin America history and the US foreign policies. He is a loving father. He is a very private individual. I am honored, he has allowed me to conduct an interview . He also have other hobbies besides writing.

He has an degree in history. He has been with Vocal since February 2021 and has written over 80 stories on Vocal. He has over three Top Stories to date. He is an exceptional writer. He plans to get his book publish this year.

Atomic Historian: I love your challenge entry. But I noticed you put it in the Fiction community.

The challenge rule is that it has to be in the History community.

I don’t want you to be disqualified on this. Just message customer service, and they’ll put it back in your drafts 😊

Mariann: Thank you, I will change it now. By the way, would you be interested in being interview for my Vocal Blog ?

Atomic Historian : Yes, How do you conduct your interviews?

Mariann: What time zone are you in? Are you available now? If not, I can just send you questions and you can answer them on your free time ?

Atomic Historian : This would be easier with my schedule.

Marian : Where are you from?

Atomic Historian : Nowhere and everywhere at once. I was born in Germany. Mainly grew up in Colorado. But I’ve lived in eight states. To say I’ve moved a lot is an understatement

Fun Facts: Atomic Historian move 24 times before he turned fourteen.

Mariann : When did you start writing and what did you write about?

Atomic Historian: I actually talk about this in my recent article. I wanted to write from an early age, but the first coherent story I wrote was a essentially a Toy Story fan fiction when I was ten, but LEGO. Like many authors, I stayed in the realm of fan fiction or using themes that already existed in many of earlier works. But I began to blossom and create my own style of writing in high school. I think reading and writing a lot of poetry in high school helped. I think poetry is a great way for writers to start, because they can be any length, there’s many different styles, and realistically very few rules.

Mariann : If you were a book, what title would you give yourself ? Why?

Atomic Historian: That’s a hard question to answer. I have no idea. I rarely talk or write about myself. When I do, it’s only in response to a direct question, often that I’ve been asked multiple times.

Mariann: What is the best word to describe you ?

Atomic Historian: Enigma

Mariann: What are you goal in writing on Vocal?

Atomic Historian: I treat Vocal mainly as my portfolio. Also, it helps with writing my most long-term WIP, because I can publish it one chapter at a time, rather than getting daunted with, and possibly losing interest in trying to write an entire book in one shot.

Sidenote, it's not the book I've been putting on Vocal, but I am planning on publishing my first book later this year.

Mariann: How long does it take you to write a story?

Atomic Historian: It depends. It depends on the time I have available. The kind of story or article I'm writing. I've written some of my poems in as little as five minutes, because they just come out as a single string of thought.

The Eternal Scholar, which is almost the same length as my grandmother's obituary took about 3 hours(I had some distractions in there. Mainly the couple fighting in the parking lot.) Where as my grandmother's obituary took three weeks, because of the emotional investment.

Mariann: What does you daily schedule look like and how do you fit your writing in it?

Atomic Historian : Oh, I wish I could write every day right now, but unfortunately my schedule doesn’t allow it. I have been writing more on the weekends. But that’s been all poems, because for some reason they just come to me. When they do, it usually only takes about ten to twenty minutes for me write them depending on how long they end up

Fun Facts : Atomic Historian has lived through two of the worst Nuclear disasters.

Mariann: What do you like to write about the most ?

Atomic Historian: To me, in some way or another, all writing is about people. I know this be a stretch to some, but even reading a book penguins is about people. Why? Because someone took an interest in them enough to write about them. But also, even in writing about something like penguins, you have to talk about who discovered what about penguins.

Mariann: What does your writing space look like?

Atomic Historian: 😆 This question makes me laugh, because my “writing space” is everywhere. I will write a poem walking down the sidewalk, sitting in a restaurant or bookstore. Last week I went and sat in a Barnes and Noble because I needed functional wifi, and where I’m staying right now makes using my hotspot hard because the signal is sketchy.

I will voice memos to “write” if I’m driving. I write everywhere. Literally

Mariann: Do you have any other hobbies?

Atomic Historian : I do. Some are easier to partake in than others. I have a growing collection of LEGOs. I love museums. I like shooting. Not so much for the guns themselves. I like anything that requires a practicing to achieve a high level of skill. I can’t wait to be done with this move, so I can start doing Brazilian jujitsu again. I do my best to workout five days a week. I like metal detecting. I just do my best to stay active.

Fun Fact: Atomic Favorite Lego Movie : 2017 Lego Batman Movie

Mariann: Who is your favorite Author, why?

Atomic Historian: Bill Watterson, because he inspires me so much. He created timeless characters, and knew to get out when he didn’t like what the industry wanted to do with his work. He made/makes enough money to live very comfortably without taking advantage of anyone.

Mariann: Who is your favorite Vocal creator?

Atomic Historian: I’m not sure. I like different creators for different reasons.

Fun Fact: The books on the Cover Picture are just veries representative of inspirations. Minus some of the poets.

I will finish this interview with two of his stories. Thank you for letting us get a glimpse of your life. Thank you for serving our country.
