Dr. Doolittle: Do you ever sit and watch your pet and wonder why he does some of the things that he does? Do you have a animal related fear that you would like to overcome? Or maybe you have a favorite that you would like to understand better. Today we have a dog, a pig, a mouse, a skunk, and a chicken that will answer some of the biggest questions that have been thrown around forever. I'm Dr. Doolittle, and welcome to my show.

Our first guest today is Spike. Spike is a pit bull from Missouri. He is here to give us a little insight to the minds of man's best friend. Please welcome Spike. Spike, thank you for being here today.

Spike the Dog: Thanks for having me

Dr. Doolittle: Is there any misconceptions that people tend to have about dogs that you would like to set straight?

Spike: Some people are afraid when they see me. They think I want to bite or attack, but that's not true. I just want to love and to be loved.

Dr. Doolittle: We have a special guest here that I think you know. Bob Jones is here. Bob is the mailman in your neighborhood.

Bob: Hi Dr. Doolittle, hi Spike

Dr. Doolittle: Bob, thanks for being here. For years, it has been speculated that dogs and mailmen are enemies. Would you say that you agree?

Bob: No, on the contrary. We are actually good friends. Every day as I pass by his house, he greets me with a bark. Most days I will have a treat to hand him. I'd do anything for that dog. Sometimes we will even take a run together.

Dr. Doolittle: Well, there you have it people, dogs really are man's best friend. Our next guest is Pete the Pig. Pete, welcome to the show. What would you like people to know about pigs?

Pete: I have always heard the saying " he eats like a pig". It hurts my feelings. When did it become an insult to be a pig? I'm just a little heavier and have a different diet.

Dr. Doolittle: Of course, it's important that we remember that we are all special and unique in our own way. Moving to our next guest, Tom the Mouse. Tom, what would you like to say?

Tom: I can't help but find it hilarious how many people have fears of mice. Have you seen how big I am? Believe me, I'm a lot more scared of you. All I'm looking for is a warm hole to live in and a piece of cheese.

Dr. Doolittle: Thank you for your insight Tom, I don't think people tend to think of it from your point of view. Larry the skunk, you also want to break down some common misconceptions, right?

Larry: Yes I do. Thank you Dr. Doolittle. It seems that we skunks are known for one think, our odor. People run when they see us, but it's not necessary. There is so much more to us than that. Our perfume is only used as a defense mechanism. We use it to protect us when we feel threatened. And another thing I don't understand is the saying "drunk as a skunk". I can't speak for the rest of the skunk population, but the strongest drink I ever drink is milk, and that's only on special occasions.

Dr. Doolittle: Now for our final guest, the author of the bestselling book "Is the Sky really falling, or do I need to get my head out of the clouds" Chicken Little. Mr. Chicken, there is one question before we go that has to be answered, why did you cross the road?

Chicken Little: I was just trying to pick up my newspaper, the paper boy has terrible aim. Ouch, was that a piece of the sky that just fell on my head?

Dr. Doolittle: Nope, that was just part of the ceiling tile, we've been meaning to fix those. I would like to thank our guests for being here today and sharing your insight. Hopefully this will help people understand the animal kingdom better. Tune in tomorrow as our guest is none other than Mr. Cow himself. Fifty years old and still rocking.
