Apple is one of the most prestigious companies in the world, so getting a job there is no easy feat. Typically, Apple will ask a combination of technical questions (based on the candidate’s past experience) and some brain teasers to test their reflexes.

If you interview to work at an Apple retail store, you'll be asked a lot of questions about how to handle an unhappy customer.

Business Insider has compiled a series of recruitment questions that candidates who have interviewed at Apple shared on Glassdoor. These are considered the "hardest" questions that the corporation uses to evaluate candidates.

To become an Apple employee, you must go through a "brain-teasing" interview round.

Among them, there is a question that many people are interested in:

"62 – 63 = 1; move just one digit to make this equation true" –

Question for Software Development Engineer candidates. And the answer is convert the number 62 to 26 (2 to the power of 6 = 64), subtract 63 to get the result of 1.

Here are some other questions that are part of Apple's "challenge":

Question for product design engineer candidate: "We have a hot cup of coffee and a glass of cold milk just taken out of the fridge, leaving them at room temperature. When should we add the milk to the coffee for the best combination? Right away, wait a while, or wait longer?".

Solution consultant candidate: "How much does the Empire State Building weigh?".

Empire State Building.

Retail Candidate: "Which superhero would you choose to be and why?".

Apple Genius Candidate: "Explain the concept of RAM to a five-year-old."

Systems engineer candidate: "How do airplane wings work?".

Hardware engineering candidate: "Name 5 ways to measure how much gas is left in a car."

Software engineer candidate: "If you have 2 eggs and want to find out the highest floor from which you can drop the egg without breaking it, what would you do? What is the best solution?"

Global supply manager candidate: "How many babies are born every day?".

Software engineer candidate: "There are 100 coins mixed on the table, 10 of which are heads and 90 are tails. You don't know which coins are heads or tails, and you can't touch or look at the coins. How can you divide the 100 coins into two parts so that each part has the same number of heads or tails?"

Software quality management engineer candidate: "There are 3 boxes, 1 box contains apples, 1 box contains oranges, and 1 box contains both apples and oranges. All 3 boxes are mislabeled and it is impossible to distinguish what is inside. You are only allowed to open 1 box, not look inside, and take out only 1 fruit. How can you guess exactly which box contains which fruit just by looking at the fruit?"

Civil engineer candidate: "Are you smart?".

Mechanical engineering candidate: "Place a cup of water on a turntable and start accelerating. What happens first: The cup slides off, flips over, or the water splashes out?"

Apple consultant candidate: "What's more important, fixing customer problems or creating a good customer experience?"

Expert Candidate: "Why did Apple change its name from Apple Computers Incorporated to Apple Inc.?"

Technical project manager candidate: "What was your best and worst day in the last 4 years?".

Expert Candidate: "When you walk into an Apple Store as a customer, what is the first thing you feel?"

An Apple store in the US.

Software engineer candidate: "Why do you want to join Apple? What would you miss about your current job if Apple hired you?"

Administrative assistant candidate: "What is your favorite ice cream?".

Technical candidate: "Tell me about a time you hurt a friend. How did you handle it?"

Technical Expert Candidate: "What is your favorite Apple device? Why?".

Senior project manager candidate: "Tell me about a time when you failed miserably."

AppleCare Advisor Candidate: "The first troubleshooting step you take if someone says their Wi-Fi isn't working on their iPhone."
