A Journey Through Memory
Voices of the past, memory of a lost Bag.

We should never forget Birthday gifts….
Yes!!
It so happned one day that my friend from my college days called me to invite to her Daughter's birthday, it was nearly a decade since we met after our marriage so I thought not to miss this opportunity, since I could also meet my other friends and their family.
The day of birthday finally arrived and I went to the venue a little early since it was near to my home and a regular hangout place so Me and my husband went and were greeted by my friend’s mother, father, my friend and her husband, they were really happy to receive us and I was so glad to see her with family after so many years.
So we were the first guest for the party 🥳 so my husband told me that he will have a quick walk outside and asked me if I want to join him? I was ok, sitting and chit chatting with my friend I said he can excuse himself, so he went and I spoke to her for few minutes and she was asked by her mother to help her with something, so she went about to do few party preparations, so I sat in the first row, since the party hall was empty and I made myself comfertable by placing the Gift on a chair next to me, after a while people started to gather and I stood up leaving the gift in the chair, not having the Idea that I had totally forgetton it! I moved to the last row.
Seeing me seated in the last row my another friend came along and sat next to me we were discussing about out old college memories and we discussed about the nice arrangement of the party and then birthday cake was cut, now came the opportunity to give the gift which was missing 😅 my another friend told come let us gift and leisurely have our lunch talking about our days in college.
Now came the real problem everyone is seated and I am going to everyone “I have forgetten my gift some where here” asking about my gift, some gave me weird stares and some even told “ This Gift is brought by us, its ours” and i am like why are they over reacting I am not asking their gift I am searching mine🙄 so yeah finally I found my Gift.

My friends knew about my forgetful nature since I had quite an interesting—and hilarious—experience that my friends still won’t let me forget. I was traveling on a crowded bus, and as anyone who has been in such a situation knows, managing personal belongings can be tricky. Since I was standing and juggling for space, I handed my college bag to a girl who was seated, thinking it would be safer with her than risking it getting lost or misplaced in the chaos.
The bus ride went on, and with all the commotion, I completely forgot about my bag! By the time I got off, I was so preoccupied with my thoughts that I left without taking it back. It wasn’t until much later that I realized my precious bag was still riding around the city in the hands of a complete stranger. 😨

For the next two days, I was filled with worry. I had all my important things in that bag—notes, assignments, and probably a few random things I don’t even remember stuffing in there. I had almost given up hope of getting it back when, out of nowhere, a little girl’s father showed up at my doorstep, holding my bag! Turns out, the girl I had handed it to must have taken it home, and her father made the kind effort to track me down and return it.
Relieved and grateful, I shared the whole story with my friends, expecting some sympathy. But instead, they burst into laughter and said, "Please don’t forget your kids in a bus next time!" 🤣 Apparently, in their version of the story, my bag had now become my child—and since it was returned home after two days, I officially had two kids now!
