You understand me, this life is enough

Poem about a close friend

01.

A friend once asked if people who like words are lonely inside.

There are times when everyone is deeply lonely, but people who like words have more delicate feelings and more sensitive nerves, so they are more likely to feel lonely.

The loneliness often arises not because there is no one around, but because although there are many people around, none of them knows what they are thinking and worrying about. There are a lot of things you want to say, but you can't find a person who can say what's on your mind.

Many people, because of loneliness and fall in love with words, all ideas, emotions, thoughts, all use words to express, send, to vent. Gradually, I got used to the company of words, but I no longer expect to meet someone who understands, I think a person, a book, a pen, is the world. In the end, even I can't tell whether I like words because I am lonely, or I am lonely because I like words.

Perhaps, loneliness and words are supposed to complement each other. The more lonely people are, the more they can find happiness in the world of words. People who like words can find a cure for loneliness in the world of words.

If you are lucky, you can also meet similar souls in the world of words and meet your true soulmate.

Just like I met you.

02.

I met you on a cool autumn day, and I bonded over words. When I first met you, I was impressed by your talent, your brashness, your personality, and your honesty.

You have written a lot of novels, both long and short; you have also written a lot of essays, about family, friendship, and love. I like the stories in your novels, the plot is wonderful and fascinating, and I also like the true feelings in your prose, delicate and heartfelt, with an endless aftertaste.

Before I met you, I also wrote some novels, but the stories were not exciting enough; I also wrote a lot of prose, but the language was simple and not beautiful enough. After I met you, I was influenced by you and made significant progress in both novels and essays.

It is said that literary people are lighter than each other, but we are not lighter than each other, rather we are sympathetic and appreciate each other, and we are willing to teach each other what we know so that we can know everything and say everything.

Whenever I encountered a bottleneck in my writing and was confused, you would objectively and seriously help me analyze the problem and give me solutions to it, and also encourage me, comfort me, affirm me, help me find my confidence, and take me out of my frustration.

Because of the words, we have become confidants, from now on, someone understands, someone accompanies us, someone walks, and will never be attacked by loneliness.

Thank you.

What is the rarest thing in a person's life?

I think the rarest thing is to meet a person who understands you.

What kind of person will understand you? It must be someone similar to your soul. You have common interests, endless topics, and many ideas coincide as if the other is another self.

This kind of person must know you, understand you, and can give you the warmest company, and the most affectionate watch.

The people who have not met always question whether such a person exists.

If I hadn't been lucky enough to meet you, I wouldn't have believed that there was someone so similar to me, so likable. Because of the similarity, and the affinity, so can easily read each other's hearts, and into each other's spiritual world.

Once upon a time, words were my world.

Now, words and you are my whole world.

You are the most understanding person in the world, you understand me, even if everyone around me does not understand me, does not believe me, does not support me, I do not care.

You know me, this life is enough. How others look, how to say, how to think, are not important. You know me, understand me, is the greatest happiness.

friendship
