It’s incredible how we are still here, after 16 years that we know each other. Yes, exactly, 16 years, our story starts in kindergarten when we were 3 years old. And from that moments we became best friend, and we still are, obviously in a different way, but that doesn’t matter, because the connection that we have is unique and amazing.

We literally grew up together, we learned how to live togheter, and I’m really glad for that. We did it, thanks to our families that brought us in holidays together every summer, around Europe. Every year a different country, so a new adventure, that we lived together. I cannot forget any of them, because all those moments are the best moments of my childhood.

But I’m not writing this letter just to remember how we grew up together, and how we met, but I’m here to say thank you to the person that you are today, to the person that today is supporting me in every decision I make, even if that decisions will take us at thousands of kilometers apart. Like now, I’m in an another continent, leaving and building my future life, or basically called my dream. And I’m really happy that you are supporting me every second, every time we call each other, and I probably never told you but that let me feel really good, and ispire me to go on.

Our friendship is one of the most strange one I ever seen, or hear about, beacause we are best friend, but a different type, not the classic one. But the type that don’t see each other very day, but if we are lucky every month, and even if we were not lucky in the last 6 months we still call each other and laugh together of our life. Like every time you call me you are drinking and partying with your friends, and I really love those calls because are so funny. And that’s what make our friendship unique, the fact that we never see each other but when we need, we are both there to support and help the other. No matter where we are.

I’d like to remember some of the greatest moment together, just to make this letter more emotional 😭.

Last time we see each other, it was September, before I left Italy for the best experience of my life. We spent all the night partying with a lot of your friends, in our amazing city. Definitely one of the best night, even if the end was quite not perfect. But we didn’t spent our time together only partying, we did a lot of thing, like all the amazing moments at the demonstrations, fighting for what we thought it was right. I learned a lot from those moments, and I probably still have some signed on my body, but that’s good so I will never forget. How I wrote before, we travelled all Europe together, but the best trip for me is still the one in Portugal, because is the one that opened my mind and showed me how I wanna live my life. But even because we literally lived an amazing road trip in an amazing place. Lisbon I still have you in my heart.

I cannot write about all our moments together, because they are too much, and I think that’s not necessary. Those memories will be in our head forever, and so the aim of this letter is to thank you for everything, and I would really like to be there with you, because I really miss you!!! Even if it’s not the first time we are far for this amount of time. But I will be back soon, and when that moment will come we have to do a road trip, party together and live our best life together. Like the old times.
