Woundmate or Soulmate

ARE THEY REALLY YOUR SOUL MATE OR ARE THEY YOUR WOUND MATE??⁣

It is so important when entering into relationships that you don’t confuse a wound mate for a soul mate connection.⁣

⁣ Yes, all relationships are for our spiritual growth and most people we encounter are soul connections of some type from lifetimes long ago, all with their own set of unique challenges and lessons, soul contracts and karmic resolutions to be had; but a wound mate connection should never be confused with a true love soul mate connection.⁣

⁣ Your wound mate is NOT your perfect match even though they may feel like they are.⁣

⁣ You will bond quickly with your wound mate as their wound reflects those wounded parts of yourself. ⁣

⁣ You will both share an instant connection; will have nearly identical life experiences and you will feel like you have met your other half. ⁣

⁣ Someone just like you. ⁣

⁣ Your wound mate will understand you from the inside out, like no-one ever has been able to understand you before, and you will be instantly magnetized to them. ⁣

⁣ SO HOW DO YOU TELL IF YOU ARE CONNECTING WITH A WOUND MATE AND NOT A TRUE LOVE SOUL MATE?⁣

⁣ Your wound mate will come in filled with promises, attention, affirmations and will effectively love-bomb you. They will tell you it is destiny, fate, a once in a lifetime meeting.⁣

⁣ But this will then be followed by broken promises, lack of commitment, distance, break ups and getting back together, indecisiveness, anger, hurt and darkness. ⁣

⁣ You will feel like your heart is being ripped out one moment and on fire the next.⁣

⁣ Your wound mate is not here for the long term; they are here because you share a connection (past or present) to unresolved patterns of pain and emotional immaturity and problems. ⁣

⁣ They are here only as the trigger to deep emotional healing. They can never be a part of resolution for they are not equipped to expand in the relationship with you and will only lead you both on a downward spiral into darkness.⁣

⁣ Your wound mate will seem so much like you because they are you. ⁣

⁣ They are your mirror. ⁣

⁣ Reflecting those parts of you that you do not accept and love fully yet. ⁣

Those parts you hide from the world and from yourself yet have a deep desire to heal and dissolve into light.⁣

⁣ And make no mistake, a wound mate relationship will never go the distance, it just cannot survive. ⁣

⁣ The role of the wound mate is only to show you your reflection and for you to show them theirs.⁣

⁣ So if you feel yourself being drawn into a relationship like this, or if you are in a relationship like this, recognize it and the fact that your wound mate is only the person who will show you what needs to be healed.⁣

⁣ See the reflection, say thank you and move on to deep inner healing.⁣
