Will you be my Valentine?

Two Hearts United: A Valentine's Day Tale

By Ishu PathiraPublished 3 years ago 4 min read

Emily had been crushing on her co-worker, Mark, for months. She never had the courage to confess her feelings for him, but Valentine's Day was approaching, and she knew she had to take a chance.

On February 14th, Emily arrived at the office with a heart-shaped box of chocolates and a card that read, "Will you be my valentine?" She nervously walked up to Mark's desk and placed the gifts in front of him.

Mark looked surprised but delighted. "Of course, I will," he said, giving her a warm smile.

Emily couldn't believe it. She had imagined every possible scenario in her head, but she never thought Mark would reciprocate her feelings.

The two spent the rest of the day talking and getting to know each other better. Mark had always admired Emily's work ethic and kindness, and now he saw her in a different light.

As the workday came to a close, Mark surprised Emily with a bouquet of red roses. "I've been waiting for the perfect opportunity to tell you how I feel," he said, taking her hand. "I'm so glad you took the first step."

Emily felt her heart race as Mark leaned in for a kiss. It was the most romantic Valentine's Day she had ever experienced.

From that day on, Emily and Mark's relationship blossomed. They went on long walks, watched movies, and shared their hopes and dreams. They were a perfect match.

Emily never thought that taking a chance would lead her to her happily ever after. But on that Valentine's Day, she learned that sometimes, all it takes is a little bravery to find true love.

Months flew by, and Emily and Mark's relationship only grew stronger. They went on adventures together, and even started planning for their future.

As Valentine's Day approached once again, Emily couldn't help but feel nostalgic. It was the day that brought her and Mark together, and she wanted to make it extra special.

This time, Emily planned a romantic surprise for Mark. She decorated their apartment with heart-shaped balloons and made his favorite dinner. After dessert, she led him to the living room, where she had set up a cozy fort.

Mark's eyes lit up with excitement as he saw what Emily had prepared for him. They snuggled inside the fort, reminiscing about the day they first became a couple.

"Emily, you make me the happiest man in the world," Mark said, holding her close. "I never knew love could be this wonderful."

Tears welled up in Emily's eyes as she looked at the man she loved. She knew that she was the luckiest woman alive to have found such a caring and loving partner.

As they cuddled under the blanket, Emily whispered, "Will you be my valentine, forever?"

Mark looked at her with a grin and replied, "I promise to be your valentine, for eternity."

Emily's heart swelled with joy, and she knew that no matter what life threw their way, they would always have each other. This Valentine's Day had become a symbol of their love, and they would cherish it for the rest of their lives.

The following year, Emily and Mark decided to make Valentine's Day a day to give back to their community. They volunteered at a local food bank, and spent the day serving meals to the less fortunate.

As they walked back to their apartment, hand in hand, Emily couldn't help but feel grateful for everything they had. Mark had taught her that love wasn't just about receiving, but also about giving.

That evening, they exchanged handmade gifts, expressing their love for each other in a heartfelt way.

Emily had never felt so much love before. Mark was her soulmate, and she knew that she had found the missing piece of her puzzle.

As they cuddled on the couch, watching the stars twinkle in the night sky, Emily asked Mark, "Do you remember the first Valentine's Day we spent together?"

Mark chuckled and replied, "How could I forget? It was the day I found the love of my life."

Emily smiled and snuggled closer to him. As she closed her eyes, she knew that every Valentine's Day would be as special as the first. Because with Mark by her side, every day was a day filled with love and happiness.

Years went by, and Emily and Mark continued to celebrate Valentine's Day with the same love and excitement. They had their ups and downs, but they always knew that they could count on each other.

One day, as they sat by the fireplace, Emily turned to Mark and said, "You know, I don't need Valentine's Day to remind me of how much I love you. Every day is Valentine's Day when I'm with you."

Mark smiled, his eyes filled with adoration. "I feel the same way, Emily. You make every day brighter and more beautiful."

As they embraced, they both knew that their love was not just about grand gestures or special occasions. It was about the small things - the daily hugs, the sweet gestures, and the unwavering support.

Emily and Mark had found true love, and they knew that it would only continue to grow stronger with each passing day. For them, every day was Valentine's Day, and they were grateful for every moment they spent together.
