Tiwa Savage reveals more beauty secrets

By Jide OkonjoPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

Tiwa Savage definitely revealed a lot of information during her beauty secrets video with Vogue. I already told you about how Tiwa revealed that she infuses plasma from her blood into her cream to maintain beauty while revealing her skincare routine.

In addition to that, Tiwa Savage is also now revealing more beauty secrets and things we didn't know about her, both embarrassing, and not. Tiwa shared a lot. Here is what she said about her dark spots, embracing imperfection, doing her own makeup for music videos, and accepting her naturally dark lips. Here's what Tiwa said.

Speaking about her dark spots and embracing imperfection, Tiwa Savage said:

I break out a lot especially during my menstrual cycle and I was about to lie and say I don't pop but I do. I can't help it. Then [dark spots] happen. Then I spend so long trying to fade it out, then it starts all over again. I use clarifying spot treatment. It has some kind of treatment to like help pigmentation while temporarily concealing. I find even sometimes when I take pictures, you can still see tiny marks on my face. I usually ask the photographer to leave it cuz I feel like there is perfection in imperfection.

Speaking about doing her own makeup for videos, Tiwa Savage said:

A lot of my videos you'll see that I'm doing the makeup myself. I started experimenting with makeup at about 16, 17. Doing makeup and photoshoots, I studied when makeup artistes are doing makeup on my face and I kinda figured what works for me and what doesn't. Nobody else knows your face better than you. If you invest the time in skincare, in makeup, I promise you it might seem overwhelming but you will get the hang of it. You will know your face, you will know your structure. You will know what you wanna see your face look like.

Speaking about her unibrow and her mother's encouragement towards self love, Tiwa said:

My mum definitely instilled this real embracing your natural self, but my mum was a bit extra with it cuz I have a unibrow and she would be like, "no, it's fine" and I'll be like "no mum, I get it. You're trying to instill confidence in me but the unibrow's gotta go."

Speaking about accepting her dark lips, Tiwa said:

I have naturally dark lips. Growing up, I used to hate it but now it's like I save up on lip liner because I have natural lip liner (laughs). But I still go over my lips with lip pencil before applying lipstick.

What do you think of everything that Tiwa Savage revealed? She definitely shared a lot more personal stuff about her skin, beauty, and life.
