In 2021, Don Jazzy revealed that he wanted to sign Falz The Bahd Guy. Now, three years later, Falz in a new interview talks about if he regrets not signing to Don Jazzy's label, and also opens up about why it didn't happen in his own words. Here is what Falz had to say.

First of all, remember that in 2021, Don Jazzy spoke about wanting to sign Falz The Bahd Guy and that being one of his 'regrets'. Don Jazzy said at the time:

DON JAZZY: Regrets? I wish I signed Falz and Simi. Of course, the opportunity came; don’t say I turned them down. For Falz, the working situation wasn’t just right. I run a firm that could handle almost everything he needed. But I think he had like a management company set up already. It was like Tiwa Savage’s but I had to grow into that kind of scenario where I had to handle someone that had a record label, some blueprint process.

Now, speaking about if he regrets not signing to Don Jazzy, Falz opens up in a new interview saying:

FALZ: Multiple labels tried to sign me. I had multiple offers, some that have been spoken about already. I had multiple offers, and those things almost happened. Very close.

At the time, in fact from my end, I was ready. But for some reason, they didn't follow through and it wasn't a thing of regret at the end of the day. These things happen. I'm not going to now look back and be like "this should have happened" No.

By the grace of The Almighty, I've been able to pave my own way for myself because I've been independent throughout my entire career. And I've been able to achieve this? Ah! I have to be very very grateful for what I have been able to achieve by myself, up until now. And of course, with the support of my exceptional team.

What do you think about what Falz The Bahd Guy had to say, and if it were you, would you have still found a way to sign to Don Jazzy?
