Why Being a Stripper Before Has Now Made It Hard For Me - BBNaija's Chichi
Chichi talks stripping, nudity, money, and more

The 4th runner up from this year's season of Big Brother Naija, season BBNaija: Level Up is Chinenyenwa Desire Okoebor popularly known as Chichi. When asked to describe her work, Chichi describes what she does as being a "stripper by night and a chef by day". But being a stripper, as interesting and sexy as it sounds, also comes with a couple of added things that some people don't often talk about. Yes, there are some people like with any profession who go into stripping, come out, and remain unchanged even sighting the experience as completely positive. This does happen. But in Chichi's case, while she has a lot of positive things to say about her time as a stripper, she's also opening up about some of the negative impacts it has had on her as a person.
Chichi opened up about this during a new interview with The Punch. Here's what she said.

Speaking about the notion that she and many other women get their money primarily from men so women can never really be rich on their own, Chichi said:
I don’t believe that. A woman can be successful the same way a man can. There are so many wealthy men out there; should we also say those men got their money from women?
Speaking about having sex with somebody on the first date, Chichi said:
Sex on the first date something that I don’t think should even be discussed on the first day; talk more of doing it on the first date. But, who am I to judge people who think it is okay?.
Speaking about acting naked in Nollywood productions, Chichi said:
No, I won’t act nude. But, for those who choose to do it, I am not a judgmental person. That is probably what they feel comfortable doing. They should do what they feel is good for them.
Speaking about some of the downsides of being a stripper and how it has affected her until now, Chichi said:
I think I am the most judged stripper. When I was a stripper, (I don’t strip anymore), people often came to me for help and at the same time, they would judge me. They did not see us as human beings. Stripping is actually a profession but in my father’s land (Nigeria), it is not seen as one. It was really hard because people were so judgmental. Because of that, I cannot talk in public. And, that is why I am uptight; I don’t like expressing myself. Whenever I talk, people are quick to throw ‘shades’ at me, saying what do I know since I’m just a stripper. They feel we (strippers) can do anything for money.”

What do you think about what Chichi said? It's good she's speaking out about it so that even the young girls who look up to her now know what to expect if they too want to enter the same industry.
