Mental Health

If you constantly think that your life would be better if you had something, if that particular problem went away, or if that person who makes your life difficult were gone, you may even wish for something drastic to happen to them. Every time you see a bus, you might pray for such an event. We always tell ourselves that if a certain person or problem were out of our life, everything would be so much better. Or if a certain sorrow were removed, everything would be perfect. If people's behavior changed, if situations changed, if the environment changed, we keep thinking that everything would be great if these changes happened. We think this way, hoping that with these changes, we wouldn't feel weak anymore. We keep dwelling on our desires and get completely consumed by them.

But Allah tells us,

"You know how weak you are. You are weaker than a fly . " When He says this, we should take a moment to reflect on how truly weak we are. A little thought can make us understand how fragile we are. Every day, different thoughts come to our minds. We are fasting, praying, and we try to stay focused during prayer, Alhamdulillah. But outside of prayer, our minds are occupied with different thoughts. What do we think about? What keeps running through our minds? What do we wish we had, or what do we wish were gone? For some, it's illness; for others, it's depression or sorrow; for some, it's a person. Some people even think that if only a certain person were happy with them, they would be happy.

For example,

if my father were happy with me, I would be happy. But your father is just a person. Even if he's happy today, he might pass away tomorrow. What would you do then? Where would you stand?

So, I and you keep chasing after these things. And Allah says in the next verse, "They do not give Allah the respect He deserves; indeed, Allah is Almighty, All-Wise." You are weak, but Allah is All-Powerful. He further says, "You have not given Allah the respect He deserves." Do you know what He is telling me and you? He is saying that we run after so many things, we run after so many people, but everything in this world will eventually come to an end. Every single thing in this world is weak, and that's why you become weak. That's why you keep getting affected by sorrow, and you end up in loss again and again.

But when you realize that the greatest desire you should have is to please your Creator, when you prioritize Allah's will above all else, when you truly align your heart with this purpose, that is when true strength will come to you. For Allah knows everything, and He has just taught us this lesson: when you desire something weak, you become weak. But when you desire Allah, the Almighty and All-Powerful, He will make you strong.

When you become strong, different things will come and go in life, but your strength will never diminish. The things you were running after will break down, but you won't break. Because you are seeking the pleasure of someone far greater than these worldly things.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't wish for anything in this world. But the verse teaches us a key lesson: when we ask for worldly things, we must understand that they are weak. These things will come and go, but we can never lose Allah.

The failure of humankind is that when they are in need of something in this world, they forget Allah. If they don't get what they want, they abandon their prayers. They say, "What's the point of praying?" When they don't get what they desire, they become devastated and think, "I can't even speak to Allah." This happens because before facing difficulties, they had not strengthened their bond with Allah.

If the bond had been strong, like a tree whose roots are firmly planted in the ground and whose branches reach the sky, no storm could break it. It would sway, but it would not fall. After the storm passes, it would bear fruit again. This is the example of faith. La ilaha illallah is like such a tree, with its roots deep in the ground and its branches reaching up to the sky. This is the strength of faith.

Temporary World, Eternal Peace:

In life's journey, there may be moments of pain and sorrow, but remember—everything is temporary. If we only chase after the things or people of this world, we will never find true peace. Allah reminds us of our weakness and His infinite strength. When we seek Allah's pleasure and refuge, our lives truly become strong. So, instead of giving too much importance to the temporary troubles of this world, strengthen your relationship with Allah. One day, everything will end, but Allah's pleasure and our relationship with Him will never end.

Stay by our side, your support will help us move forward. Together, we can achieve limitless success.

If you like it, please like it, and even if you don't, still like it.
