What the hell is angel hair?

Is it really the UFO's ability to aerosolize matter?

On May 13, 1917, in the Portuguese town of Fatima, three young shepherd boys were tending sheep. They suddenly saw a woman in white, shining more brightly than the sun, on the trees before them. The children thought that the woman in white was Mary, so they went home and told their parents. After that, the story of the Madonna's apparition spread.

On September 13, a month before the woman promised to perform the miracle, many people in the town followed the child to the bushes to wait for the Virgin Mary to appear. Then what looked like the petals of a white rose fell from the sky, and they disappeared as soon as they touched anything. White petals are not quite accurate, as they have also been described as sparkling snowflakes, stars, and filaments. But whatever they are, they disappear once they get close to the ground.

Finally, on October 13, the day the woman in white promised to show her miracle, a full 70,000 people gathered. Suddenly there were dark clouds, and the sky even began to rain heavily. Mary appeared in a ball of light, but only the three children could see her. When the Virgin disappeared, the dark clouds broke open, and the sun emerged and turned quickly, giving off a colorful glow.

The wet clothes of the people were dry in an instant, and even the muddy ground became dry. And then the same, like silver petals fell from the sky, exactly the same as a month before, and this is known as the Fatima incident. The Fatima Affair is best known for its three secrets, but today we are not going to talk about these secrets, but about the phenomenon of the strange silver object, because this phenomenon has been seen all over the world throughout history.

As early as the 16th century, the citizens of Nuremberg, Germany, witnessed an astonishing sight. On the morning of April 14, 1561, hundreds of flying objects of various shapes were in the sky, and they collided with each other. Some disappeared, and some flew away. The incident was also photographed and instantly sparked a huge discussion, known as the Nuremberg UFO incident in Germany. Eerily, records show that there were similar silvery glowing objects falling from the sky, and there were so many of them that they disappeared at the touch. Even the Roman historian Castidio recorded a similar rain of silver in 196 AD.

According to the record, the sky was clear and there were no clouds, but a silver rain fell. He collected some of the residue with a copper coin, and by the fourth day the substance was gone. These strange objects fall from the sky and are sometimes even associated with unidentified flying objects. Since it fell from the sky, the substance was named angel hair. So what exactly is it? Today we're going to talk about this angel's hair.

It was a crisp autumn day on October 27, 1954, and 10,000 fans were in attendance at the Atmi Franchi stadium in Tuscany, in central Italy, to see the mighty Fiorentina football club take on the local Pistorius. When the ball is in the middle of the game, the originally lively stadium suddenly becomes silent, and then the audience broke into a shout of surprise, all the people's eyes from the field to the sky. The crowd pointed to the sky and even the players stopped moving to look up. Adicomagini, who played in the 1954 World Cup, was on the pitch and remembered the events of the day well until the day he died.

The audience saw some glowing filaments falling from the sky, and curious friends went to collect the treasures. But the filaments melted soon after they touched a person or fell to the ground. That day, Giorgio Batini, a reporter with the local newspaper El Pais, received hundreds of phone calls from witnesses. He was in his office when the view of Bay Cathedral was blocked from the window, and he immediately climbed to the roof to have a look.

A silver ball was flying towards the dome of the cathedral. Then Batini went to explore the forest in the suburbs, and he found that the tops of the trees were covered with a layer of white fluffy filaments. He took a matchstick, rolled them up, collected a few samples, and took them to the Chemical Analysis Institute at the University of Florence. When they arrived, it turned out that he wasn't the only one who had collected the samples for testing.

Professor Giovanni Canelli, who carried out the tests, carried out a spectroscopic analysis of the substance and found that it contained elements such as boron, silicon, calcium and magnesium and was not radioactive. This is not a conclusive conclusion, however, because the substance breaks down on touch and its original composition is likely to have been destroyed in the process of collection. Although the samples collected from the Artemie Franchi incident did not yield much after study, the breakthrough was made five years later in an angel hair incident.

In the winter of October 2, 1959, there was a city in southern Portugal called Evora. Amaral, the dean of the business school, was disturbed by the noise outside his daily office and got up to check it out. He walked out and a colleague told him that a strange object was flying over Evora. He opened the window and saw a huge object moving slowly in the sky. Amaral immediately went back and got a telescope to look outside at objects in the sky and found that he was a ball of light with a shimmering light. Only half an hour later, another unidentified flying object appeared. The details of the object revealed through the telescope are that it has a sphere above and below it, and the sphere at the bottom has a fluctuating phenomenon, very similar to a jellyfish.

Amaral thinks it's definitely an alien spaceship. The object stabilized in the air for about half an hour or so. It looked a lot like a traditional weather balloon, but before anyone could discuss what it was, the object suddenly took off at high speed. Then white filaments like cobwebs or cotton began to fall from the air in great numbers, and almost the whole town of Evora saw this. In fact, the same thing happened not only in Evora, but also at the Sintra base, which is 100 kilometers away from Evora.

Siwal, a 25-year-old pilot at Sintra, was chatting outdoors with other pilots when he saw the white filaments falling from the sky. He also remembered that the white silk had dissolved in his hands. A lot of people think of spider silk first, because spiders have been flying for a long time.

By capturing wind direction, airflow and static electric fields, the spider's silk is able to lift up and fly with the wind. But this claim was quickly dismissed because angel hair dissolves on contact, whereas spider silk does not. Because Professor Amaral didn't know what the substance was or whether it was dangerous, he didn't think twice about going to the classroom to evacuate the students.

Ernesto, a 17-year-old student at the time, recalls the incident with horror: Some were scared and students were warned not to touch their eyes, nose or mouth. After collecting some samples, Amaral contacted French astronomer Eugenio, and the two men tested the hair. Their first step was to magnify the microscope to 120 times, and what they saw under the microscope surprised them.

Looking under a microscope, the two men were surprised to find a single-celled creature about four millimeters long with tentacles. Why is it a living thing? Because when these creatures were placed on the glass, they actually extended their tentacles against the glass, showing the instinct of life to protect itself. Professor Amaral then took the samples to the University of Lisbon to see what the top scientists there could find out.

As a result, with the help of a more powerful microscope, scientists were able to see the microbe in great detail. The center is pale yellow, while the antennae are bright red, and the antennae extend from the body to resist external pressure. Tests have found that its tentacles can withstand up to 350 grams of weight before succumbing to the pressure and turning from bright yellow to dark brown. This suggests that whatever it is, this single-celled organism has some degree of intelligence. They concluded that it must be some form of life, but they didn't know where it came from, or even if it was from Earth.

They then analysed the spectrum of the material and found that the hair contained boron, silicon, calcium and magnesium, just as the hair had been found in Florence five years earlier. Professor Santos, the biologist, said the only animals to be found that resemble these microbes are coelenterates, such as corals or some jellyfish. But Professor Godinho, a renowned biologist, said the creature had never been seen before. Other scientists have also suggested that the microbes may have come from outside the atmosphere, or from nearby stars.

Since a lot of angel hair cases involve unidentified flying objects. Charles Marney, an American UFO expert, has boldly speculated that the angel hair is the atomised remnants of UFO energy, which, when disbanded, will return to their dimension or another time. It has even been suggested that the substance resembles a supernatural ectoplasm released during rituals of undead communication.

But before anyone could decide, in 1978, a fire at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Lisbon destroyed the Evora biological samples. Oddly, firefighters were reportedly unable to extinguish the flames near the sample. To this day, no one knows the results of the investigation into the fire, or who or what started it, as if someone wanted to silence the idea of extraterrestrial life.

Separated by many years, the phenomenon of angel hair has appeared in all parts of the world, and there are at least 200 cases of angel hair recorded so far. A whopping 57 percent of them involve unidentified flying objects. If they really are alien spacecraft, what are their frequent sightings for? And what about the other angel hair that has nothing to do with Ufos? What about the apparition of Our Lady of Fatima in 1917, which also featured angel hair?
