What Has Already Changed Between Me and My Dad Since He Entered Office - B-Red

B-Red opens up

By Jide OkonjoPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

Earlier this month, the Supreme court affirmed the election of Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, solidifying his victory over his biggest opponent, Adegboyega Oyetola, in the keenly contested gubernatorial elections. The Supreme Court's decision put to bed the dispute over the outcome of the elections and also quenches Oyetola's hope of coming back to office after his momentary victory at the Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in January.

Now speaking about the big win, Governor Adeleke's son, popular musician B-Red, opened up during a new interview with City 105.1 about his reaction to the news and how he feels about the news. He also opens up about if he ever plans on going into politics, and speaks about how communication with his father has already changed his father won the elections. Here is what B-Red had to say.

B-Red during interview

Speaking about the Supreme Court affirming the election of his father Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State and solidifying his victory after the gubernatorial elections, Adeleke's son, musician B-Red said:

B-RED: Since four years ago when they stole my dad's mandate, we already knew he was going to come back big, you understand. We wouldn't even have continued if we didn't know we were the confirmed winners. So when we heard the Supreme Court news, we just knew what time it was, you understand. Osun should be ready to be changed, it's going to be crazy. It's already being changed right now, so just watch out for even bigger things in Osun State.

Speaking about if he has ever thought about going into politics as a person, and how his relationship to his dad has changed he became appointed as governor, B-Red said:

B-RED: No never. I feel like politics would be so stressful. When I go see my dad in Osun State - before, when I'm calling my dad, he would pick up immediately. Now when I call him, it's so hard to reach him. Either his PA or somebody else holding his phone. I'd be like "dad, you're not picking my call", he'd be like "I'm busy". So when I actually go there, he has like 10 to 15 meetings a day. I'm like okay, now I understand. So like I said before, I'm happy for the people of Osun State. It's going to be a great year, it's going to be a great 4 years. If you look at the first 100 days and what my dad has done already, it's incredible. So yeah, watch out for big things.

Gov. Ademola Adeleke
