This is Falling Now

The moments that mean love is brewing

By Thought StreamPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

Do you remember the first time you saw a woman bite her lip out of desire or admiration? How your face awakened with light and your heart stuttered? How about the first time she tilted her head and gazed adoringly at you? Your breath caught on its way into your lungs and your heart swelled in your chest, with an indescribable fullness. Thinking about her makes your heart sing and when you see her your inner being jumps for joy.

Maybe you gave her a trinket or wrote a note and discovered that she not only kept it but put it in a place of significance. Did you swoon? Did your eyes well up with tears? You know that goofy smile you get when you think about her? The way your spirit soars when you notice that her face lights up like a summer sky during a lightning storm when she lays eyes on you, even when she doesn't know you saw her. You didn't make eye contact, but she can't contain that radiant smile.

Wherever you go, you imagine running into her and you daydream about how it would go. Like you could write a romance novel on the spot. When you make her laugh and your heart melts at the sound and the awareness that you are responsible for it. When the good morning or good night texts don't bother you. You find the dumbest reasons to text her just to make contact. The amazing feeling you get when she messages you first.

She holds on a little tighter or a little longer during a hug. The way her scent makes your blood move a little faster through your body. How sweet your name sounds on her lips. You've never heard a sexier word than when she calls you baby in her sleepy voice. She gets tripped up on her words or runs into things because she is distracted by your presence and can't drag her eyes away from you.

How about the way she always sways when she hugs you? Or how often she gazes into your eyes and just shakes her head, wondering how this could be real. Her face says what her eyes can't. That you do something to her that takes her by surprise, but she likes it.... really likes it. She touches you with a tenderness that will be your undoing. Every time your phone dings you hope it's her, and when it is, you can't stop smiling.

You don't know what's happening, but you know that you want to be the reason she smiles. You make it your goal for her to wake up and fall asleep thinking about you. Even better if she wakes up to a sweet text from you so her day starts on a good note. On the other hand, you get grumpy when you miss her too much and it warms your heart that she feels the same way.

You marvel at the little things she does that she probably doesn't think twice about but you find incredibly sexy and endearing. How she blushes when she's trying to flirt but doesn't realize how good you are at bantering and you play risqué. The way she starts talking about the stupidest things and making fun of herself because she doesn't want to say goodbye. Yeah, those feelings. That's falling in love.

Do you remember the first time you saw her sad? Crying? Mad? Do you recall the moment you knew you wanted to be the one to hold her in your arms and lift her up? To be the one to brighten her day? Do you imagine how you would go about comforting her and cheering her up? Then there's the moment you realized you wanted to melt in her arms at the end of a hard day. Every song makes you think of her. You find yourself wanting to sing all the love songs to her. She's the first person you want to call with news.

Does a dream about her being with someone else wake you in tears and ruin your mood for the day? How about a dream that she is WITH you? Are you unbreakable and unstoppable all day? Yeah, take it from me. You got it bad! This is what it looks like to fall in love.
