These, My Favorite Things.
What fulfills me and why people should support my passion.

Once upon a time, in the land of Snow and Mountain, a baby boy was born sunny side up to a family of heartache and challenge. His Grandfather, a wise old painter, who worked in the magic land of Hollywood, nourished the young boys enthusiasm for the art of storytelling. His mother taught him how to use song and dance to lift his spirits and his father encouraged his curious soul. The boy learned early on, that laughter is good medicine, cooperation could make dreams come true and believing in yourself is the magic key to reassembling a broken heart.
My name is Eric and I’m a puppeteer, musician and story teller. Sometimes one, sometimes another, sometimes I may be all three at once! A creative collaborator in these three art forms is who I am. Combining them with the impact of digital media, is how I bring a story to life.
At 10, my first Saxophone stole my heart. It marched me through high school pep club, marching band and then carried me into the world of jazz and music improvisation. Music is a wordless language. It bypassed my thinking and carried me straight to the healing heart of my own story.
After the passing of Jim Henson, he dialed me up in a waking dream and asked: “Eric, how would you like to come work with me? "All those happy memories of sewing puppets, building props, entertaining family and friends, and running an 8 mm movie camera with my high school buddies, brought me to this deeply sentient moment.
The next morning, I announced to my parents, "I want to be a puppeteer!”
I believe that the telling of a good story, enhanced by harmonic vibration and thoughtful entertainers, can bring us together as one heart, one voice, one world.
After studying Music and Theater at Albertson College of Idaho and graduating from the University of Montana, I went straight to Massachusetts to work at Perkins School for the Blind. I learned to appreciate invisible beauty, the importance of compassion and to listen to my own inner voice. Shorty after, a Masters degree in Puppetry Arts from the University of Connecticut, then to Maryland and the Puppet Co. Playhouse as a builder, writer and performer. During this period, I knew it was time to develop the burning story I had been carrying around in my head ever since the periodical cicadas went underground. The interactions of Jim Henson’s puppets still in my head, affirmed that I needed to put my ideas to paper.
In 2020, with the urgency of those cicadas, I hired Voyage Media and chose Hollywood Producer, Bonnie Solomon (Shrek, The Chronicles of Narnia), to assist me in developing my science fiction, galactic fantasy, “Star Dragons.” My story was coming to life!
Under Bonnie’s guidance, I have been inspired to write a better story and to listen to what kind of stories I need to write. “Eric, you have the talent, the ideas, and the work ethic. I love your mythology. It’s so different and that’s really exciting.” I am grateful to Bonnie for her insight and encouragement.
My stories cross the boundaries of the Ancient and Present worlds with humor and drama. They illustrate timeless concepts of love, loss, and empowerment. Each new character embodies the Great Story of human evolution; challenge and opportunity, victory and failure, hope and disappointment. These “human" puppet storytellers participate in the same journey of self-discovery that we all encounter.
This is why believing in me would be a good thing.
Some tell me I'm brilliant. Others say I'm crazy, original, passionate (Y’all know who you are and I am grateful for your belief in me). An opportunity for me to change hearts with image, story, and music is precisely why I must bring my stories to light. Investing in my passion would encourage me and confirm that the work I love can become a reality with your help. My promise is to continue pushing toward my goals, and your energy will propel ‘this ‘little to-do list:’
Publish a series of science-fiction, fantasy, and various genre short stories, to attract and engage an audience seeking ideas with a twist.
Three graphic novels, inked by artists from Marvel, DC Comics, and Dark Horse, available for download.
Release albums featuring my original songs, as well as scores from my visual stories, performed by amazing artists, available for download.
My characters, imported into fully posable animation rigs and placed into a fully-rendered, pre-animated game-engine world, where we will—
Shoot raw footage from anywhere inside the game engine and turn it into a streamable web series, available on Youtube in playlists and cutscenes.
Launch the three-dimensional, fully rendered, game-engine world of “Star Dragons” as a multiplayer adventure game, available for download.
A 30-minute, science-fiction saga for fans of Dragon Con and the Mandalorian - Pacific Rim meets Guardians of the Galaxy, in space!
Congratulations, you've made it! Thank you for your interest in the possibility of my work. And above all, thank you for believing in me! If you find that you are one of the people I’m looking for, please like, follow, share, connect and let’s make something amazing.
