The Trivial Story

We all have lives to where we grow up and do things that require to make a living and support our families. We live in times where anything can happen but this is a story about a girl who of course falls in love but here's the twist, she falls in love but the guy she falls in love with, well I will just leave it at that. I'll make it suspense to make you think what will happen.

So again this story is about me, my name is Arabella, I'm twenty-seven years old and this is about my story. I live in a kingdom near the ocean where it's very beautiful even after it rains or if there is a bad storm. The beauty to the kingdom wasn't the only thing I love, it was the people, the creatures, the tall trees that left the little space to where you can see the sky. I was amazed everyday about the beauty, and how everyone was in their own world doing their everyday lives. As for my everyday life wasn't normal, it had to deal with lessons, learning new languages and peace treaties with other kingdoms. That's right I was also a princess who really didn't find anything normal about my life except the time I was always away from the castle. I was raised by my caregiver who has been there for me ever since birth, since my mother had past away during childbirth. My father wasn't always around since he did have a kingdom to run. the only time I saw him was for dinner or when we had certain guest for peace treaties. My caregiver, Lana was always there for me or at least when she needed to be. My father wouldn't let me go anywhere by myself unless I had a body guard or her with me. Sometimes I was able to go a few places alone since Lana knew where I was most of the time. My alone time was near my favorite tree where my parents met. It was the last spot my mother was at so it made me feel close to her. I would always bring a book and read right next to the tree. Lana says my mother was very beautiful that she caught my father's attention.

My mother came from money and her parents knew that she would make one handsome man very lucky, turns out she made a prince very lucky and happy. Lana always told me their love story kind of reminds me about all the fairytales that I read about it. I always thought my story would be like that but my father keeps talking to other kingdoms that have princes so they can be a bachelor for me. I can't say that I have met any of them when I haven't. Lana has told me that there will be a ball, kind of a big party with one of the kingdoms. From what Lana has told me that my parents were very much in love but had their arguments about little things. I know that love isn't perfect but it will be with the right person.

While I was sitting by my favorite tree, reading my favorite book that's when I heard hoof beats heading towards me that's when I got my guard up. I wasn't expecting anyone to show up or even know where I was except Lana or my father. But this encounter was very unexpected, "Who goes there," I said very loudly.

As he was approaching he was on a white horse that had gold tassels around the horse, which also the horse was very well brushed.

"My name is Damien. I'm from the kingdom towards the west. I may not know my way around these woods, could you point me in the direction of the Kingdom," he says very firmly.

I pack up my things onto my horse, "What is your business there?"

He glanced around at me trying to figure who I was.

"Are you the princess of that kingdom," he asks very calmly.

When I got onto my horse, I replied, "Yes, I am. This is my secret spot that no one knows about. I can show you the way to my home. Is my father expecting you?

He rode a little closer to me, "Yes. My I might say that you are very beautiful princess. You should not be out here alone your highness."

In my mind I was laughing because he was definitely flirting with me and I didn't know what to expect from it. We rode back to the castle and that's when I saw Lana at the gate waiting for me. I could tell she was a little worried about me by the way she was standing.

"Lana is everything okay? Why do you look so worried? Anything happen when I was gone," I asked her.

Lana made a face with who was right next to me while I rode into the gate. It was like she couldn't believe it, or she believe that him and I were meeting in secret, which we weren't. Just so happen he crossed my path.

Damien made a smile towards me, "Thank you your highness for showing me into your kingdom. I hope to see you around more."

Lana couldn't believe her eyes but as he was riding away that's when she asked, "Have you been secretly meeting with Prince Damien?"

I got off my horse and as I was gathering my things I explained, "No we haven't been meeting at all. It just so happen he wondered his way near my mother's tree where I was. He said he was lost trying to come meet my father so I helped him get here and showed him the way."

Lana had this huge grin from cheek to cheek and was laughing about the whole thing.
