The Things You Do Today Define What You’ll Be Doing 10 Years From Now.
It's quite interesting.
The second greatest fear of man is the fear of the unknown. And the first is the unexpected suffering or pain.
According to these two things, our purpose in life is two parts: to avoid suffering and to have fun. But most of all, we strive to make the unknown known. That is why we call on stars, spiritual mentors, tarot, and cards. For the same reason, we are obsessed with the search for "our soul mate", the dream job, and the ideal city.
The truth is that we spend an incredible amount of effort and energy to find out what the world can tell us about the future, even though the answers to all the questions are right in front of us. We are probably running away from these answers.
If you tell me what you did today, I will tell you what you will become in 10 years. But not because you are destined to stay where you are right now, not because you are unable to change, and not because you are destined to repeat the past.
I can do this because the subtle way in your daily routine (whether you respect them or not) is a fundamental part of your future life. I can predict the future because your own words say it. I can tell you where you will be because, in the end, you will become who you are.
"Character is fate." Your life will accurately reflect everything that goes on in your head. Subconsciously, you determine where you will be in 10 years.
People are always telling you what to expect, you just have to listen to them. They say they want to start a family, travel more, move. They say they will succeed or work in the same place until retirement.
I'm telling you, they're unhappy or happy. They remain in a relationship, even though they should not do so, proving that they will do so in the future.
They start their business and close it, then repeat it. They try to write and either give up or continue to do so, despite their reluctance. Gradually give up or just gain momentum every day.
It all happens so slowly that you don't even notice it. But don't expect to wake up one morning and decide to ruin your life today. No, it works differently. Everything happens very slowly, through small mistakes that are constantly made.
The book you read this week may change your attitude toward the next 40 years of your life. The savings account you opened today can help you quit your job in five years and start doing what you enjoy.
The little grains of effort you sow today in your mind, in business or something else, tomorrow will turn into a flower garden. Everything you do now augurs well for your future actions.
People tend to follow the easiest path, doing what makes them feel comfortable. That's why you are always told to do what you love: it takes less effort and you can do what you love forever.
But what they don't tell you is the possibility of changing your future by simply changing your day. You have the power to create for yourself a new comfort zone, which will consist of all the habits necessary to achieve the desired goal.
Do you want to be a writer? Start writing today. Do you want to be in shape? Go to sports. Do you want to be a chef? Start cooking now. Do you want to stop fighting? Offer a truce. Do you want a change? Change now.
Once we reach a certain age or stage of life, the universe will not offer us the opportunity to start all over again. Our successes in life are not accidental and not spontaneous.
These are turning points, discoveries that have become possible after hours, days, and years of equal effort. But you do not realize that all your conscious and unconscious actions change your life. Your thoughts change her.
And if you want a different future, create a different day first.
