Once upon a time in 1995, in a house perched atop a mountain, lived Shazia Begum. She gave birth to a baby girl whom she named Imaan. Below the mountain, a mighty river flowed, harboring all kinds of dangerous creatures.

Shazia Begum was overjoyed with the arrival of her daughter. She had decided that if it were a girl, she would name her Imaan, and if it were a boy, she would name him Bilal. However, her husband, Rashid Sahib, did not cherish daughters. When Rashid Sahib learned that Shazia had given birth to a girl, he was filled with anger, questioning why they didn't have a son instead. He treated Shazia Begum with cruelty, but she silently endured his mistreatment, never uttering a word of protest.

Shazia Begum confronted Rashid Sahib, saying, "What does it matter if we have a daughter or a son? Both are blessings from Allah. Why are you not happy about our daughter's birth?"

Rashid Sahib replied, "Stay silent! Don't you dare speak a word against me in your filthy language. If you don't, you'll regret it. From now on, don't ever think about our daughter again. I wanted a son, not a daughter."

Shazia Begum didn't respond to Rashid Sahib's words. She quietly made her way to her room, where Imaan was crying with hunger. It had been several hours since she had last been fed. Shazia Begum pleaded with Rashid Sahib, "Let me go to our daughter. She is hungry. Don't subject her to this cruelty. I will take care of all her needs; you won't have to spend a penny on her."

Rashid Sahib sneered and tossed a candle at Shazia Begum. Locking her inside the room, he warned her, "Stay in there! If you ever mention our daughter again, you'll suffer the consequences. I won't bear any of her expenses."

Shazia Begum, undeterred by Rashid Sahib's threats, raised her voice and said, "Don't keep me away from my daughter. She is hungry. Don't subject her to such injustice. Let me be alone with her. I will take care of her by myself. You don't have to spend anything on her."

Rashid Sahib, unaffected by Shazia Begum's pleas, swiftly left the room with their young daughter, leaving Shazia Begum and her infant daughter behind.

Shazia Begum's cries echoed throughout the house, but nobody opened the door to help her. The people living nearby were aware of Rashid Sahib's cruelty towards Shazia Begum, but they never extended a helping hand. If anyone dared to intervene, Rashid Sahib would humiliate them.

Shazia Begum felt trapped and helpless, unable to leave her husband. She endured his abuse, hoping for a day when she could escape with her daughter.

Meanwhile, Imaan cried incessantly, feeling the pangs of hunger. It had been hours since she had last been fed, and her weak cries reached the ears of a witch lurking beneath the mountain. The witch was notorious for preying on infants.

Shazia Begum's heart ached as she heard her daughter's cries grow weaker. She begged Rashid Sahib to let her go to Imaan, warning him that his cruelty would lead to their daughter's demise. But Rashid Sahib, showing no mercy, said, "Let her die. I won't bear any expenses for her."

Shazia Begum, tormented by her husband's cruelty, felt a surge of determination. She knew she had to save her daughter, no matter the cost. She mustered up all her courage and confronted Rashid Sahib and his wicked mother.

In a voice trembling with strength, Shazia Begum said, "I cannot bear these injustices anymore. If you won't let me care for our daughter, I will leave you. I will raise her alone, far away from your cruelty. I have endured all your mistreatment silently, but I won't let you harm our child. I will protect her with my life if needed."

Rashid Sahib and his mother were taken aback by Shazia Begum's resolve. They couldn't comprehend the depths of a mother's love and sacrifice. Rashid Sahib, fearing Shazia Begum's determination, silently handed her the key to the room where Imaan was locked.

With tears streaming down her face, Shazia Begum rushed to her daughter's side. She cradled Imaan in her arms, whispering words of love and comfort. Her heart broke with a fierce determination to provide a better life for her daughter.

Shazia Begum left her husband's house that very night, carrying Imaan in her arms. She sought refuge in a nearby village, where kind-hearted people offered her shelter and support. Determined to give Imaan a life filled with love, opportunities, and education, Shazia Begum worked tirelessly to provide for her daughter.

She took on odd jobs, working as a house cleaner, a seamstress, and even selling homemade goods in the market. Despite facing numerous challenges and hardships, Shazia Begum never wavered in her commitment to her daughter.

As Imaan grew older, Shazia Begum became her pillar of strength and inspiration. She instilled in her daughter the values of compassion, resilience, and the importance of education. Shazia Begum ensured that Imaan received the best education possible, sacrificing her own needs to provide for her daughter's future.

Imaan excelled in her studies and developed a deep appreciation for her mother's sacrifices. She realized the immense strength and courage it took for Shazia Begum to break free from an abusive relationship and create a better life for them both.

Today, Imaan stands tall as a successful, independent woman, thanks to her mother's unwavering love and determination. She carries her mother's teachings in her heart and continues to make her proud.

The story of Shazia Begum and Imaan reminds us of the incredible strength of a mother's love.
