The Truth

Second stage

There were many things that happened in Lilly's life after her and Henry went their separate ways, Lilly learned a little how to get out of her shell and become someone different. She had to grow up fast, because she had her first child at the age of 18. You could say it was a live and learn trial, begin and 18-year-old mom can be difficult at times. She was glad she had the support of her mom and dad to help her with her little girl. She especially had help from her best friend, they were cousins but best friends as well. They did everything together from going out and having sleep overs, once Lilly had the baby her cousin did not leave her side, still going out to eat and having sleep overs. She was always there to have her back; she became Lilly's daughter's god mother.

Lilly's mom got sick and had to go through one surgery, after that the family moved to another state. would not you know it, Lilly found herself back in the same state as Henry. She knew since high school that She was supposed to be with him, and this confirmed that they we always meant to be. Henry accepted Lilly and her daughter as his family, he loved them both and he knew that they were going to be his forever. Lilly and Henry got married a year after she moved to the states. After that Lilly had a son, another daughter, and another son. She was full of life and so much happiness, she sometimes thought that she should not be this happy.

It is true what they say the first year of marriage is honeymoon stage, just the love and passion of finally being with the one you love. Then from the second year through almost 8 year of marriage goes from low too high to low again. I think it is mostly trying to get use to each other’s habits. Having to me a mom of four and take care of the home is hard and then to add being a wife it is not easy. One thing is bound to be left behind, or unmanaged you could say. Unfortunately, Henry got pushed to the side as she wanted to be the best mom ever.

Poor Henry and Lilly's relationship was all over the place, he felt pushed behind and she felt as if he did nothing but complain. Slowly their love for each other was placed to the side and other feeling started to arise. Not hate, that feeling did not show its ugly little face, but more like Jealousy and loneliness. Years came and left and nothing between them had gotten any better. They feel father and father apart, feeling almost like they did not know who each other were anymore. She was just the mother of his kids and he was just the father of her kids; they have become strangers.

The Storyteller paused her story looked at the audience and said, now how can two people that loved each other so much, have become total strangers? Confused do not be, let me explain. She laughed, Lilly was always about her children in her mind her kids could not fend for themselves and needed her at all time. She thought that her husband could take care of himself, but what she did not realize is that her husband needed her as well.

Slowly her kids began to grow up and doing their own thing. One went to college, the other became a senior with a lot of friends and she is slowly left with just a man that she uses to call husband. Right now, he is just a stranger, she had pushed him so far away from her that she really did not take the time to become Lilly and Henry. The truth was Lilly had pushed Henry so far away, that she was not sure if she is able to go get him back.
