The Start of Her

The year was 2016 when she graduated. She knew after graduation what she wanted to do. It was a pretty good plan which she was going to stick with. Her family supported her decision which really made her happy. The young girl's name is Emily, 18 years old, lived in Delaware, and she was very smart. Emily had planned to move to Florida, go to college, and make a life for herself. Her major was Biomedical Science. After graduation, Emily went to Florida and her brother Jonathan was very generous to meet her. She applied for colleges and looked for a job. It was all going well, she got accepted to one of the best universities in Florida, she had a job offer, she even bought a new car and a new MacBook. She was doing well in school and work.

In one of her classes, she met a younger girl named Jemma. She was very kind, and quiet so they became friends. They became very good friends. Jemma had a very big family and they were the kindest family she’s ever met. Emily and Jemma went to the same church and that's how they knew each other. On a Sunday morning, Emily went to church and there he was. He was substantial, tall, and oh so charming. She couldn't take her eyes off of him. After church, she was talking to Jemma and it so happens that Tyrell was her younger brother. She and Tyrell clicked. They liked each other. Well, she liked him but he was only playing her.

She and Tyrell would talk to each other everyday, they stayed on the phone all night until one fell asleep. The thought of him would make her happy. She never told anyone about him. He always knew what to say to make Emily happy. He would give her advice, would calm her down, he even gave her a shoulder to cry on. At some point, Emily had decided that she would go to the army. She brought it up to him, and he knew exactly what to say to her. One day, she invited him over to her place. When he came over, she didn't know how to act. Emily was like a little girl around him. They talked for a while and then one thing led to another. Tyrell was smooth, smart, and of course condescending. He was so good at patronizing people. Emily was a virgin and she thought she was giving that gift out to someone worthy. Little did she know. Emily thought she and Tyrell would be stronger after everything. It was beautiful for a little while. Their relationship was beautiful, and stronger. Tyrell was still there for her, and she was there for him. They bonded over everything and anything. She would go to his place and they would go for night walks, dates, and other romantic stuff.

Emily's brother never approved of Tyrell. Jonathan always thought Tyrell was bad news for Emily. She wouldn't see what her brother saw, so they never agreed on anything. Jonathan found out that Emily was seeing Tyrell. He was furious, so furious that he threatened Emily. He told her "If you don't stop seeing him, you would not stay under my roof." Emily was hurt, she was devastated. She didn't know how she was going to leave the love of her life. Her one true love. Once she finally tell Tyrell, it didn't even faze him. It was like a relief to him. She was destroyed because she found out that not only did Tyrell have another girlfriend, he was seeing two more on the side. She didn't know what to do. It was like she didn't matter to him. It made her decision easier though.
