Love. What a powerful word.

To love and to be loved is the greatest feat in life, don't you agree? I think it's an important and valuable life skill to be able to love and know what love is. Especially when times are tough, you tend to turn to love for support. The world is like a pendulum- where it swings from good to bad. There's got to be some from of balance, life can't always be bad but it can't always be good either. When times are tough, remember that. You can be swimming in the bad, hell even drowning in it, but you have to remember that those with good hearts always win in the end. The good will always outweigh the bad in this world.

Being lonely can be hard, and I think that when you get lonely you open yourself up to the wrong types of love. The loneliness you experience is just utter desperation. When you're sad and you're lonely you feel like it's going to last forever, but it won't. You hold so much power to pull yourself out of that pit of despair. Look inside yourself to find that love you're so desperate to find in someone else, that's the real journey. Falling in love with who you are, is the greatest adventure anyone can ever take on.

We as a society are so fixated on soulmates and finding that "one true" but in reality we are just looking to have someone love us. You can avoid the painful process of losing yourself in a relationship by falling in love with YOURSELF first and watching the world fall in love with your light second. That's where a relationship comes in- at least in my mind anyways. If you can't be happy with yourself you're not going to find that in a relationship. The only person that's going to save you from the pit of despair is yourself.

Self-love is important, I wrote a post about this about a month ago. Most people have no true understanding of who they are or they let other people and their small minded opinions define them. But you can flip the switch. You have a choice in this. You get to decide who deserves to be loved by you and who doesn't. That's a part of self-love. When someone truly doesn't deserve your love, you'll know. And you'll know not to pour into cups that don't pour back into your own.

With all this being said, I wanted to bring up my self-love printable guided journal that I just published on Etsy to you all. It's 105 pages long, and filled with so much love within the pages of the book. You can colour the art pages in the book as well, just make sure to buy a binder to go along with it.

I fell in love with healing myself after a series of things that just turned me into a person I no longer recognized. I wanted to grow from that and become me again. Or at least a better version of myself. I leant that it's okay to have your own human experience in this life, but to think of others that are also going through their own unique journey. Just allow the universe or God to have some input on your journey and go from there. You can't always be right. The pendulum will forever be swinging... which side do you want to be on?

Heal yourself for those that surround you. A healthy dose of self-love never hurt anyone.

Thanks for reading.
