“The King Is Coming Again!”

Scripture Reading: John 14:1–3, 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17, Revelation 22:12

Introduction

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Today, I will share about one of the most glorious promises in the Bible, the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. It’s not a fairy tale or a far-off myth. It is real, certain, and soon!

1. Jesus Promised to Return

John 14:1–3 (NIV) “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

• Jesus did not leave us without hope.

• Just as He came the first time, He will come again to take us with Him.

• This promise gives us peace in trouble, joy in sorrow, and hope in darkness.

Let us think a loving father going away on a trip and promising his children, “I’ll be back.” They wait with excitement, knowing he’ll keep his word. Jesus, our heavenly father has promised to take us to the place He prepared for us. He never lies.

2. How Will He Return?

1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 (NIV) 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

• Not secretly or silently.

• It will be visible, audible, and glorious!

• The dead in Christ will rise first, and the living believers will be caught up to meet Him.

There will be No more pain, no more crying, no more death, only joy and everlasting life with Jesus Christ in the heave.

3. Are We Ready for His Coming?

Matthew 24:44 (NIV) So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

• We don’t know the exact time, but He told us to stay alert, He will come like a thief.

• Signs of His coming are all around: wars, disasters, moral decay, and false teachings.

We must live holy lives, watchful hearts, and serving hands. Let us pray for each other and wait for the second coming of Jesus.

4. Why Should We Long for His Coming?

• Because Jesus is our Savior and Friend.

• Because Heaven is our true home.

• Because we will be reunited with loved ones in Christ.

• Because sin, death, and pain will end forever.

• Because we will get an eternal life.

Revelation 21:4 (NIV) “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Conclusion & Appeal

Jesus is coming soon! not as a baby in a manger, but as a conquering King!

Are you ready to meet Him?

Today is the day of salvation. If you have drifted, come back. If you have doubts, seek His Word. If you are ready, stay faithful.

Revelation 22:12 (NIV “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done”.

So dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

there is no time to delay, the end is near, and the Lord’s return is at hand.

Let us prepare our hearts and lives for the Second Coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

May we remain faithful in all things, standing strong in our faith and supporting one another in love and prayer.

Let us look forward with hope to that glorious day when we shall be with Jesus in the promised heaven, rejoicing forever in everlasting life.

I lift up a prayer for all the children of God.

May His grace keep us ready, His Spirit keep us strong, and His love unite us until He comes again. Amen.

Benediction “Come, Lord Jesus”

Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with hearts full of hope and hunger,

thanking You for the blessed promise of Your Son’s return.

You are a faithful God who never breaks His word,

and we hold on to the assurance that Jesus is coming again.

Lord, help us to live with eyes fixed on eternity,

not distracted by the things of this world,

but eagerly watching, waiting, and working until the day You appear in glory.

Forgive us for the times we have grown cold,

for the moments when we have forgotten that this world is not our home.

Stir our hearts, awaken our spirits, and make us ready,

pure, faithful, and found serving when the trumpet sounds.

May we not be afraid of Your coming, but filled with joy,

for on that day, all pain will end, all tears will be wiped away,

and we shall see You face to face.

Come, Lord Jesus.

Come into our hearts today.

Come soon, and take us home.

In Jesus' precious and powerful name we pray,

Amen.
