Do We Really Possess the Power to Get What We Want?

"If you work hard and get your effing a** up and work." "It seems like no one wants to work these days." 'You have to surround yourself with people who want to work."

These are just some of the phrases that have been tossed around and I don't think they are just implying them to women because the stereotypes exists that some races are lazy. Some hold to many jobs only to get no type of payoff that allows you to breath.

I have never had familial role models (and I am sure with our celebrity obsessed culture there are millions) that exuded success despite being abandoned and left to my own devices there hasn't been anyone who I could say they can help me obtain what I want out of life, and some may even say make up someone (fake it until you make it).

To be blunt I have never even been asked "what do you want?" And even know if I ask myself that very question my answer is "I just want to be able to stay in my apartment, to be remembered as a good person and to know I did all that I could to not spread covid 19 to anyone." But there is more that I want of course although its outside of my control, so I just ensure that I am focused on what is in front of me.

Everyone cannot be famous no matter how hard we try to up our social media presence or write on every blog site and forum known to us, since painters/artists aren't famous until death I have a pledge to have some 15k works of art found in my apartment once I meet my maker and not only that there are many content creators of color who don't make tens of thousands of dollars or find brands that will sponsor them so my writing may not have an impact while I am alive; in other words I do this for me knowing that I have left my imprint rather monetary gain is ever seen.

Famous families seem to have created a way for them to find success as a tribe and in their own right but that is if they stick together and how can you stick to anything when there was never no glue to begin with? I want to believe that I can manifest myself a safe harbor and with faith I can see a better outcome then what I have planned for myself, but I don't know who makes people famous, if there are groups that name the next President or other world leader.

There of course people born with enate talents like figure skaters who can do a triple axel while the rest of us gasp in awe, but they too have a team of trainers and others that make it where the outside world doesn't bother them as they train for greatness. Musicians and singers send demo tapes in which only a few make it to be the biggest stars in the industry while others are still waiting on that big break.

People on the payrolls of government assistance have dreams to although their obstacles maybe much greater with the triumph of social media even they can have a captivated audience and earn tips and monthly incomes from devoted fans. The European Salons which introduced actors to agents and writers allowed for people to shine even if the intent was more romantic then artistic and even now nonpublished writers in major journals, newspapers and magazines like myself have outlets to have our voices heard.

We all work rather we earn an income or just an audience depends on an algorithm rather than our last names.
