Thank you for swiping right on my profile. If it weren’t for that, we would have never met.

I had no idea how much my life would change because of you.

We’ve had some great, lousy, and crazy times. And while we are not romantically involved anymore, I have no regrets and am happy we are still in each other’s lives.

Because my life wouldn’t be complete without you.

Thank you for moving me down to the Lone Star state of Texas, a place I had never imagined myself living in.

Despite my family being angry and my friends being sad with this decision, being here has shown me a lot about myself, both the great and unpleasant things.

It’s letting me figure out what I want and who I am, and I am working to become better for myself.

And although it won’t be my final home, it will be a stepping-off point for me on my journey. And a safe haven to return to when needed.

Thank you for showing me what family is supposed to feel like.

With my upbringing not being the most traditional, knowing what being a part of a family feels like has been foreign to me.

And with the tumultuous events surrounding my move, I felt somewhat unsettled and unfamiliar with the topic.

But you have started to show me how family is supposed to have your back, love, support, and sometimes challenge you.

And while I’m still figuring out how to accept that love, I know I’m in a safe space.

Getting clients for my book editing business hasn’t always been easy. In fact, it has been damn hard, and I know there is much about running a business I have to learn.

But you’re showing me the way to become successful. And while things are slow right now, and you don’t pull your punches, I know I will be a massive success.

Thank you for guiding me toward other financial opportunities.

A year ago, I would have never imagined myself in a sales role. But I just passed the test to get my insurance license.

I’m also thinking about other ventures, such as making physical products like candles or soap bars. Or maybe something writing-related.

The thoughts excite me. And hopefully, I will be able to do that.

Thank you for pushing me to see new perspectives.

When you’re around the same places and people for so long, you have no one to show you a different point of view.

Without you challenging me to see things from a different POV, there are things about myself and my life that I might not have discovered until way later, if at all.

And even though it has caused strife and arguments with others, I’m glad for these new eyes. It will make me into the person I am meant to be.

Thank you for not giving up on me.

I know I can be difficult and stubborn. I know I can appear like a three-year-old having a meltdown when something doesn’t go my way.

I sometimes make mistakes that affect you, me, and others. My mouth can get the better of me and cause strife. I can’t always hold back what I’m feeling.

And for that, I am sorry.

But you still stand behind me and support me. And you have no idea what that means to me.
