TAMPA, FL — In a media landscape often saturated with surface-level content, one Tampa-based storyteller is flipping the script—by creating a platform rooted in depth, healing, and real-life transformation.

Shani Johnson, the founder of Beautiful Exchange TV, is a digital host, podcast producer, and community curator whose mission is simple but bold: give women the space to speak, heal, and grow through intentional storytelling.

“Women carry so much strength and so many untold stories,” Johnson said. “Beautiful Exchange is where they can share them, unapologetically.”

What began as a podcast has become a full-fledged multimedia platform that bridges digital connection with emotional depth. Whether it’s through her soul-stirring interviews or behind-the-scenes moments shared on social media, Johnson is building more than a brand—she’s building community.

More Than a Podcast: A Movement in the Making

Beautiful Exchange TV now includes:

• Podcast episodes on Apple & Spotify

• The Her Story Spotlight series, uplifting everyday women doing extraordinary things

• Digital content collaborations with creatives, speakers, and brand builders

• Storytelling services for women who want to share their journey intentionally and impactfully

The platform’s tone is faith-forward, healing-centered, and honest. Her interviews don’t shy away from the hard things—grief, shame, rebuilding, identity. But what makes it resonate is the sense of safety she creates for her guests.

“Healing happens when we speak the truth out loud,” Johnson said. “Stories help us remember who we are and remind others that they’re not alone.”

Representation and Resonance in Women’s Media

According to a 2023 Pew Research Center report, women—particularly women of color—remain underrepresented in traditional broadcast media, especially in leadership, hosting, and editorial roles. Johnson’s work directly challenges that dynamic by giving women of all backgrounds, professions, and paths a platform.

And unlike much of social media that rewards speed and shock value, Beautiful Exchange TV rewards soul.

“I’m not here to go viral,” Johnson said. “I’m here to hold space for what matters.”

Her platform is increasingly recognized not only for the depth of its interviews but also for its spiritual integrity. Johnson is vocal about her Christian faith and often weaves it into conversations about purpose, peace, and emotional wellness.

What’s Next for Beautiful Exchange TV

The year ahead will be pivotal for Beautiful Exchange TV. This summer, Johnson is set to launch the Beautiful Exchange Brunch Experience, an in-person event created to bring women together around storytelling, celebration, and sisterhood.

She’s also:

• Developing feature packages to help women elevate their voice and personal brands

• Expanding Her Story Spotlight into short-form video content

• Collaborating with other media platforms for interviews and storytelling series

Her goal is not only to amplify women’s stories, but also to teach them how to steward those stories with grace and confidence.

“We’re not just telling stories,” she said. “We’re building legacies.”

Creating Conversations That Last

Johnson says one of her greatest joys is seeing how stories linger long after the mic is turned off. “Women reach out days later, still processing what they shared,” she said. “That’s how you know the conversation wasn’t performative—it was transformative.” She believes this kind of deep dialogue is what today’s audiences are craving, especially in an age of curated perfection and content fatigue.

Speaking Life into Silence

Johnson describes Beautiful Exchange TV as part platform, part ministry. For women who’ve been silenced, sidelined, or stretched thin, her work offers both a mirror and a microphone.

“There’s power in your story,” she said. “Sometimes, all you need is the space—and someone to believe in your voice.”
