The Archivist
While the clocks tick away in the corner of the room, I sit and contemplate the day. With the draw of my vape pen, I notice the shapes forming in the twist and turns of the white clouds and I begin to think about my work. With a sip of coffee and a push of a button on the computer my day begins. Soon I will be so emerged in my work that the world around me disappears.

A White Set of Cracker Jacks
When I was in the Navy in the Nineteen Eighties, McNamara had given the Navy business suits for uniforms. No style, just a nasty business suit. The Navy was unimpressed. They asked that some modern Cracker Jacks be made available. When the white uniform came out, I bought a set. I thought I looked hot in them. Little did I know the Officers had noticed me, and I would be sorry I bought them. I had the POW (Petty Officer of the Watch) when we pulled in to port. The Captian was OOD (Officer Of the Deck). I was not sure what to think.

The Answers
Introduction When I was little, I was vibrant. Energetic. Charismatic. And naturally, extremely imaginative. I would curate things that I never could now. I wouldn’t say I was naive at all. A lot of kids aren’t, but regardless, adults continue to underestimate them. Have they never seen the movie Orphan? Poltergeist? The Exorcist? They should fear us and be more cautious of us. We’re smarter and stronger than adults like to presume. I’ve never liked any of the adults in my life. Even now, I don’t feel like an adult or relate to them whatsoever. Thankfully, though, I’ve still maintained a lot of my curiosity and I really don’t think I’ll ever be rid of the childlike aura within me.

Everything and Nothing
The best summer of my life was the summer of 1991. It was my first entire summer away in my first college apartment. I didn’t go home, back to the small town with shady streets, Hardee’s and where I’d watch VH-1’s “Stand-up Spotlight” in the basement until 3 a.m.

Mans Best Friend, Scouts Honor, The Buddy System, & Fire Safety
How do you treat your household pets? Your true nature then thus reflects. Man's behavior our pets inspect. I had many pets as a boy. Fun with my dogs I would enjoy. The minds of dogs are like a toy. Every dog loves long hikes & walks. Guard dogs help defend us from shocks. Their barking shows the ways dogs talk. They've also been called man's best friend. They like to patrol & defend. With behavior they message send. Sometimes they're a guide when we're lost. Their attendance is free of cost. They warm our hearts through cold frost. Dogs are often deeply loyal. They respect man's mortal coil. Their behavior let's not spoil.

Retro Reimagined
My love for all things vintage started when I was 10 years old. That was the year that the movie Now and Then came out and I. just. couldn’t. get. enough. I loved everything about the way the movie portrayed the 1960s - the music, the banana seat bicycles, the cheerful decor, and especially...the fashion. My best friend and I spent that summer camped out in my cousin’s old “flower power” sleeping bags, memorizing the lyrics to every Jackson 5 song and riding our bikes around town wearing my mother’s old short shorts and floral tops from her own mid-century childhood. For me, it was an absolute love affair - one that is still ongoing. I still listen to Motown hits daily, I still decorate my house with bright floral prints, and I am still very much in love with vintage fashion. In fact, my love for vintage fashion even propelled me into a degree in Costume Design. What could be better than learning in-depth from experts about the history and development of fashion? As an added bonus, during my time working in the university’s costume shop, I got to spend untold hours sorting through and organizing their vintage costume collection. Ohhhhh, the gorgeous dresses I catalogued! For the last 15 years, I’ve been collecting vintage clothing of my own from thrift stores and estate sales - both to wear and to re-sell. I have found some absolutely amazing items, from homemade hostess coats to designer gowns. My favorite find thus far has been a homemade light pink wool dress complete with an attached photo of the original wearer at her 1958 piano recital. It’s tracking down and saving these little bits of history that thrill me so much.

My Redheaded Mom
My five foot-ten inch, orange-blooded, Rocky Top singing, mother of four boys, red-head from Alcoa, Tennessee is best labeled in one term, Boss-Mom. I could write a book about her zest for life and accomplishments but instead will take you to the very hot summer of 1965 when we were stationed at Craig Air Force Base, Selma, Alabama. By the end of the story, maybe you will concur, that she earned this high and honorific designation.
