The Good Damage in the Creative Mind
“Good Damage” is the 10th episode of the sixth and final season of Netflix’s Bojack Horseman. It aired in January 2021, and has been my favourite episode ever since. I don’t rewatch the series in full that often, I mostly just put on a few of my favourite episodes to capture that jolt of serotonin the show gives me. But when I do stick on an episode of Bojack, Good Damage is always the one I put on first. I love it so much, and I’ve never really understood why it rarely sits at the top of other fan’s rankings. Like sure, The View From Halfway Down, Time’s Arrow, and The Old Sugarman Place are all classics. Masterpieces even. Hell, I’d probably go as far as to say that The Old Sugarman Place is the best episode of the show objectively. But it’s funny, even though I know that those episodes are objectively good, I rarely find myself rewatching them. But other fans can’t seem to get enough.

A Man Of Vision You Say?
This was originally published on my blog, Dark Corners Blog, March 27, 2021. I don’t think there are very many people who understand the depth of the debt the literary world owes to Larry McMurtry, who died at the age of 84 this last Thursday, March 25, 2021. I wrote on Facebook that there will be a lot of people only too happy to co-opt his body of work without understanding the context of his stories and adaptations for the sake of some ideal, without realizing that they will play directly into McMurtry’s hands, and that the irony would not have been lost on him. There will be a lot of people who will make claims about his body of work that he would quickly have refuted, and those will be the people who have never read past the first chapter of Lonesome Dove, if they actually read it all.

Netflix's "Clickbait" Makes You an Accomplice to Murder
Warning: Contains major spoilers from the show "Clickbait" "That absolute a-hole!" Following this proclamation from my couch, I had stomped off to the kitchen to rant to my partner about the show I had been watching and how the male lead totally deserved what he had coming to him. My partner could not understand why I was so angry at a character from a television show and what in the world could have convinced me that they should kill off said character.

Character Review; Sheldon Cooper
The Use of Sheldon Cooper Paper is one of the main characters in the television drama Big Bang Theory. A divorced child with major social problems, the Muppets-Baby version of Jim Parsons' Big Bang Theory, is a brilliant philosopher with an interest in comedy and geek culture, but with limited sensitivity and strong habits.

Yet Another Article
Yes, this is yet another article about my favourite television series Downton Abbey. “What else could she possibly write about?” I can hear you asking. Every time I think about the series, I think of something different to write about. So who or what shall we read about in this article? To be honest with you, I start off with someone in mind and then --- just let my mind (or the article) guide me.

Ordeal by Innocence Review
This review comes from my Letterboxd profile, where I write reviews of the movies and limited series I watch. I didn't expect I was gonna review this, but my parents randomly found this on Amazon and since it was only three episodes, I decided to give it a watch with them just to add something to my filmography. Long story short, I'm glad I watched it, but... yeah, this is gonna be one of those reviews where I have to figure out exactly why I didn't love this show AS I'm writing my review because I really have to figure out how to process my thoughts.

Top of the Lake Season 1 Review
This review comes from my Letterboxd profile, where I review movies and limited series I watch. I watched this show over the course of three days. The first two nights, I told myself I could push through this show and the way it was affecting me. I told myself I could handle myself when the finale ultimately came. Then the finale came... and I didn't. I became so openly wound up by the end of this show that I actually went as far as to punch the top of some furniture. I've never been this viscerally affected by a show. Never before has a show so wormed its way into my subconscious as to make me possibly physically repulsed by the events unfolding on the screen. Never before have I actually felt violated by a show. Top of the Lake executed its messages and plot points so perfectly it made me feel genuinely violated. After watching Broadchurch a few years ago, I didn't think there would be any competition for my personal favorite television show of all time. Top of the Lake might just be that competition, and if it isn't, it most definitely deserves to be in my top ten favorite shows, easily.
