Stop Telling Victims That If They’re Truthful They Will Win a Defamation Suit
As the news of the Depp V. Heard verdict was announced June, predictably, the internet exploded with controversy. For so long I had been keeping myself as distanced as possible from the details of the case, but I eventually broke down and began to follow the discourse religiously.

Generalizing in a Politically Correct World
Perhaps the most consistent argument one faces when discussing politically incorrect subjects is the knee-jerkingly reflexive, “You can’t generalize like that!” They usually follow this with an anecdote about someone’s friend’s cousin who lives next door to a lady in a neighbouring town - ten years ago. The purpose of telling this story is that it “obviously proves” the politically incorrect premise is wrong. It is the trick of personalizing an individual characteristic over a group characteristic - which shows the person giving the anecdote has already lost the plot and is not arguing in good faith.

The Last Leg - Disability Lures
Introduction I am not disabled though I have a lot of health issues. A few of my friends suffer from physical disabilities such as Multiple Sclerosis, needing aid to walk, blindness and more. Many more suffer from mental illnesses including Bipolar, ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), Dyslexia, Agoraphobia, Autism, BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder), OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder ) and many more and I always try to be there for them and to offer my support in any way that I can. Although this is not specifically about any of these I will list some helpful contact links at the end of this article.

Others might say the government is an institution that embodies the will of the public, with access to an exorbitant amount of funds (sometimes even infinite spending). Well, let's explore this concept a bit further to see who is truly in control, and regardless of reality, how you can not only attain power, but maintain all power you have currently, and ever will have.

Standardization and Its Effect on Cultural Heritage
How is Standardization Cause in the Degeneration of Culture? F.R Leavis belongs to the tradition and legacy of cultural critics whose aim was at reforming and refining the moral, ethical, and intellectual forming of a society. Leavis was well aware of the importance of keeping traditions and culture alive. The word ‘culture’ is a complicated one, and perhaps too often used too loosely to be left without a clear definition for the purpose of discussing the merits of ‘high’ culture vis-à-vis ‘mass’ culture. This binary was a result of the urbanization and industrialization that had undermined the hitherto cultural hegemony of the aristocratic and middle classes. Leavis had a different approach to culture. In “Mass Civilization and Minority Culture” he expressed his great concern at the “desperate plight of culture today a culture dominated by mass production, the popular press media, and films.” Today’s culture according to Leavis is in crisis, using the example of Middletown; a community in the Middle West, he highlights how the automobile affected religion, the family unit, and transformed social customs.
