Whether written centuries ago or just last year, literary couples show that love is timeless.
Miss the letter
I suddenly had a strong desire to write a letter. I wanted to pick up my pen and pour my heart out on the paper as BEFORE, and then walk to the post office to send it to a friend far away. I put it aside for a moment. Nowadays, a phone call can reach all sides of the world, an email can travel far and wide in an instant, and a short message or wechat can fly across the horizon. Letter writing became redundant and backward, and redolent of pedantry and stubbornness. If my friends received my letter, they would be surprised and think I was seriously insane. By the count, I haven't written a letter for over ten years, and I haven't heard from anyone in all those years. Letters have existed in our lives for thousands of years. They once made us look forward to them, let us read them day and night, and let us look into each other's world. As computers and mobile phones have become our new favorites, letters have slipped away from us and faded from our memories.

Is jury duty really THAT important?
Jury duty is something that many people dread, but it's an important part of our democracy. Although it can be inconvenient on your schedule, serving on a jury is an opportunity to make a positive impact on your community. In fact, jury service is one of the most important rights and obligations of citizenship.

The Leah Complex
You ever felt overlooked or not seen? This is something I have dealt with quite often. Picture this: a friend invited me to a salsa night event and I got all dressed up. I thought I had something going on with my outfit! We are at this function sitting and waiting for the dance portion of the night to begin. As we sat waiting to dance, I noticed that when men came to ask us to dance they would always ask her first. I felt some type of way because I was not chosen first. I’m not sure why that was but I started feeling like Leah. For anyone who reads the Bible knows the story of Leah and her sister Rachel. Leah was described as the “eh” sister while Rachel was said to be very beautiful. I’m pretty sure Jacob saw both sisters but Rachel caught his eye to the point he was willing to work seven years before claiming her! However on the night of the wedding the father gave Leah instead. Needless to say Jacob was upset and I wonder how Leah felt to be the second choice. To be overlooked and not seen. I wonder what was her marriage like? Because eventually, Jacob married Rachel too, his first choice.

Reconnection To Bast
June 2, 2022 Power animal exercise: I started by visualizing the hummingbird. As I saw it flying around the rose bushes, the plants morphed in a jaguar- large black cat. I tried to keep the hummingbird, though it would not stay. The cat moved intentionally, its shoulders showing its physical strength with every step and yet it also kept itself low to the ground, moving slowly. Almost as if it was hunting. As I felt this strength run through my body, every cell seemed to light up- SPARK!! And I sit here now feeling the tingles.

Back at it!
It’s been a fat second since I last posted here. There have been days which involved no writing and others with no thinking. Just like a professional writer with seasoned thoughts and expressions would say, ‘I have been living the life of a true artist. With none to say yet much to express. My subconsciousness has been over-active and I’m looking forward to the overflow of my pot of literary treasure.’
