humanity
For better or for worse, relationships reveal the core of the human condition.
We Can't Judge
Judging by Appearance We, as people, so often judge others. We look at people at work, at school, walking down the street, and just by their appearance, we judge who they are. If someone is wearing a certain style of clothing, or is listening to a certain genre of music, we automatically assume that they are a certain type of person. And you know, sometimes you're right, but more often than not, you're gonna be wrong. A lot of the time we avoid these types of people, because we assume they are bad people, or that their personality isn't a fit with ours—but in the end, we never know. We don't fully understand people, and we certainly never will if we only assume who they are by judgement of their appearance.

A Call to Action
In nearly every city in the US, homelessness is an issue. If you're homeless, you may feel forgotten, shunned, neglected, and even perceived as the scourge of the city. On the other hand, if you're the tax paying citizen whose neighborhoods they overtake and swarm, how are you supposed to feel. No one wants to come off as insensitive for not wanting to address the situation.

We Are Alive: The Intricacies of Existence
Life, it surrounds us, lives within us and sustains us. Many people are alive, but most never get to live. Have you ever stopped to think about the miracles that surround us. Each day we walk on this planet teeming with life, yet we fail to see it’s wonders. That life takes on many forms but all share an evolutionary history of struggle.

The Importance of Helping Each Other
Last night I had the realization that I truly get to help more people and I encourage you to do the same. We really need each other. I don’t say this with that undertone of spiritualism that can be mistaken when this statement is said. I mean we really get to help each other and need each other to survive. I know life cannot be easy, at times. I want to know if being nice to each other can help us? I adore children because a lot of them are very happy exploring the world and learning all about this gift we received. Adults don’t smile as much as I would like to see. Society says you’re born, you go to school, you graduate, you go to college or not, you work from 18 to 60, you retire, and “this is the life.” In between all of this fluff, we can do all of this (or not and create a truly fulfilling life), and treat each other as humans.

What Is Pride?
What is pride? What does it mean to have pride? It’s funny how I don’t consider myself a prideful person. There might be pride in me, but with the people I’m surrounded by, I feel overshadowed by the amount of pride I’m exposed to. This allows me to express myself in other ways, from empathy to respect. I appreciate so many people that are able to show their pride in whatever way they do.

Freedom
The western world, so much promise for us, and yet so much disappointment. At the founding of the western world a Dream was dreamed. That dream, that hope, birthed into existence by all the immigrants looking for a better life. Our ancestors left their countries for differing reasons, some to escape persecution or death, some for the promise of adventure, some for gold, but most so they could live free.

Uber Therapy
In a world of technology where we don’t physically need to have a face to face conversation with friends or colleagues, it is interesting how our conversations in the presence of another being have become so introverted. There are times when we have a conversation with somebody we would never expect to have a good conversation with, and it usually is a good feeling. People haven’t always been so afraid to have moments like these with total strangers, so it intrigues us when we find a conversation with an elder, or just anybody that stimulates our gears and really gets us thinking outside our bubble. Naturally, you’d never expect to find those connections through a simple transportation app.

FOMO
The Fear Of Missing Out It's not a novel concept nor is it a new topic for our generation. It plagues all of us, leaving none behind. Every day our social media informs us that someone is living a better life than us. Doing better than us. Going places. This constant fear that we are static, stationary in life brings us down.

Men Are Not Getting Enough Credit
I cry. I cry openly. I've always done that. I've always felt a wide range of emotions and expressed them freely. I am a complex person with many facets. I am not some robot that has been programmed by "society" to think and act only one or two ways. And I am a man.
