7 Ways Women Can Empower Each Other Towards Success in the Workplace
As young girls, our best friends are often other girls. We play in the sandbox together, race each other across the monkey bars, and braid each other’s hair. But as we start maturing into young women, we are subtly taught to compete with each other, usually to get attention.

GETTING CHASED
The city streets of Cleveland were covered with six inches of snow, and three of my friends, Bill, Pete, and George and I, decided to have fun in the snow one evening when it was dark. Due to the snowfall, there were not many cars on the streets. When we saw a car coming toward an intersection, we would hide behind a parked car close to the stop sign, and when the car stopped, we would scurry out, stay low, get behind the car, hold on to the bumper. When the car started moving, we would slide along with the car. As we called it, Car hopping was fun until we hit a dry spot on the road without snow due to a snowplow and would cause us to fall and roll. Thankfully, we didn't get hurt. We would do this over and over, seeing how far we could go without falling off or getting caught by the driver, sometimes going several blocks, and having to walk back.

What Do You Enjoy Most About Halloween?
So here's my answer: There are so many things I enjoy about Halloween for a lot of reasons. First, the time of year is pretty great. Not too hot, not too cold, perfect temperature to not be uncomfortable in a costume. Plus, people seem more sociable at Halloween and not grumpy like around Christmas time.

What are the various laws for child protection in India?
It is estimated that over 40 million children in the country are forced into child labour. There are thousands of child abuse cases that either remain pending or have no satisfactory outcome. In the presence of statistics such as this, it becomes important to take up steps that ensure that every child leads a healthy, safe and nurturing life. The need for Child Protection in India is imminent. Even though there are several legal frameworks laid down to reduce child exploitation, their safety is still compromised due to the lack of resources, awareness and proper protection and rehabilitation services.

A Tale of Two Skis
Identity is a hot topic universally in the present and ski media has always been obsessed with categorizing and labeling the different “types” of skiers and snowboarders. There are a multitude of ways to classify; age, skill level, area of origin, clothing style, riding style, terrain preference, and the list goes on. All skiers and snowboards however, seem to fall into one of two distinct philosophical ideologies surrounding the pastime. There are those who believe that the best thing about skiing is that it doesn’t matter and there are those who know, without any shred of doubt that it matters more than almost everything else.

Mental Pressure Nobody Wants: Being a Black Man
What’s that saying? “I’z tired, boss.” ? Because yes, “I’z indeed tired, boss.” Let’s begin with the inspiration for this story. I actually just got finished writing another story about police brutality (Yes, in 2021, a story about police brutality…relax, no super high profile cases in the news I don’t think…), which was itself was response to another another story on police brutality.

Ego Is The New Humanity and Taking Over Personal Space. Is It?
I stepped onto the second train — with my oldest descendant — to pick up her two youngest siblings. We had to transfer the train to Utrecht, The Netherlands, to travel to Zwolle. The first train stopped at all train stations. The second train we needed in Zwolle was an intercity — which stopped only at the main cities and big towns. We had a few minutes of transfer time. It was not occupied, on the train.

Slimeball
It's hard enough starting your own business without being accosted by slimeballs . . . The reason I called my company Touch Talk Technologies was simple: we dealt in applications (before “apps” became the dominant descriptor) in which users used touch tones on their phones to interact with computers “who” talked to them.

8 Ridiculous Things Said by Eckhart Tolle Which Don’t Stand Up to Scrutiny
Eckhart Tolle has said some wise things that have helped many people. He’s also said some stupid things. I have two of his books — The Power of Now and A New Earth — and have found them helpful. But in recent years I have found myself questioning some of the things he’s said.

THE LAWYER AND HIS DEMON
Charles R. Baily was born June 21, 1925, in the city of Cleveland, Ohio. Charles was an average student who always seemed to have trouble find him. In junior high and high school, he was in many fights, not by his choice, but in self-defense in all cases. Once while attending junior high school, he was picked on by five kids from the school that waited for him on the corner of West 46th and Clark Ave. Knowing he was outnumbered after the smallest kid in the group flicked a cigarette at him and pushed him from behind, Charles avoiding the fight, took off running to the school and escaped the attack. High school was better due to Charles keeping to himself and minding his business. He did have some fights but always seemed to get out of them before they got physical.
