friendship
C.S Lewis got it right: friendship is born when one person says to another: "What! You too? I thought I was the only one!"
Why You Should Leave Toxic People in Your Past
In order for us to grow, we must make tough decisions. Where do I want to go to school? What do I want to do for the rest of my life? One of the most important questions is this; are the people that I surround myself with good for my health? The answer might seem obvious - yes. You might say that having friends is good for me, no matter what. I need to surround myself with people, because everyone needs companionship to survive. I'm here to tell you that you may not always be right.

I'm not even sure how I came across this page. HA! But I think it's pretty cool. Maybe someone will read my thoughts. Not literally. Obviously. Hope that's obvious.

Arts & Spice
Jessica was in town visiting us for the first time in forever. Once she turned eighteen, she left Homewood, Alabama for Nashville. She was a true country music girl. My brother and I, on the other hand, we just liked sports. Any and all. Of course, we were much younger so we didn't care she left, and we didn't care to know why. We just liked sports. Having a little brother made me a tomboy, which worried my family.

What Losing My Best Friend Taught Me
She didn't die; She didn't have to. My connection to her was lost that day she didn't say goodbye. I still cry when I think of her, and hope that she thinks of me sometimes, too. Our friendship taught me several things about life, myself, and building relationships with people.

The Joys of Finding Friends—Online
I am a person who finds the company of other people enjoyable, but I have been having trouble finding anyone to really hang out with or talk to. Frankly, a lot of people my age I find repulsive in those manners, but in a general sense, I can tolerate. I turned to the wonders of the internet, to help supplement my needs of more human interaction and to have the feeling of belongingness. I have been doing this for as long as I remember. Finding people to talk through the internet has its ups and downs. This blog is to show you what it is like before you make your decisions.

Let me tell you about the things I miss. I miss the way I met you. By far one of the funniest prayer conference memories. We took our fruits of the spirit way too seriously that day. But if I could be the loudest one in the room along with you again, drowning our laughter in white grape juice, I’d run back in a heartbeat.

Be You
Thank you for making me smile every day and loving me along the way. Thank you for being a true and trusted friend. Most of all just thank you for you. Some people come into our life for a moment, some people stay for a lifetime, either way a footprint on my heart was left...thank you for the mark you left on me. I wish I could tell someone how thankful I am for them because they helped me smile through the tears when I was falling apart. Thank you. I know that no matter how much money I get in this lifetime, no matter how famous I get, no matter what happens in my life I will never be truly able to pay you back for a tenth of what you’ve done for me yet alone to show you what you mean to me whether that’s in words or in actions. So, I guess for now, until I find a better way to show you what you mean to me, this is a reminder of one thing I want you to always remember. Just be yourself. You simply being you for the last few years have turned me into the person I am today.

Loneliness, something we have all gone through at some stage, right? But with most people, it tends to pass after a period. Sadly it has remained consistent throughout my life. But there's no point beating around the bush, I'm lonely. There, I said it! I'm a lonely person. Over the years, I've wanted find ways to say it without saying it, but I guess it's easier to be direct.

Four Truths About Friendship
Everyone needs friends in order to survive. No human can live on their own forever, with no friends or no companions. I've never been the best friend in the world. Due to my mental illness going untreated for so long, my relationships have suffered in the past. If I've learned anything, it's that keeping up a friendship is hard work.
