friendship
C.S Lewis got it right: friendship is born when one person says to another: "What! You too? I thought I was the only one!"
Sixteen and Seventeen
Short, fluffy hair atop a small prepubescent boy. Annoying, sarcastic comments flying out of his mouth in his whiny voice. A small, high-pitched giggle from the chubby kid I’d never met before beside him. “Knock it off,” I mutter, tossing a pillow in their general direction, accidentally hitting my brother’s future best friend.

The April Fools: A hero's journey. Top Story - July 2022.
I am one of the lucky survivors of the expression "boys will be boys." One of the most poignant sayings ever coined, this little gem includes, but is not limited to, a wide range of hormonally induced, reckless, self-imposed ordeals masquerading as rites of passage. In mid-April of 1981, my best friend and I concocted one of our most extreme ordeals during an unseasonably hot and humid four-day stretch of weather.

3 classic inspirational stories about making friends
Story 1 The Shepherd and the Wild Goats A shepherd drove his flock out to pasture and saw a few wild goats mixed in with the flock. In the evening, he drove all the goats into the sheep pen. The next day, the storm was so severe that he could not go to the pasture to graze his sheep, so he had to keep them in the sheep pen. He threw a little bit of forage to his sheep, limited to not being starved to death, while to try to keep the few wild goats that were foreign to him and become his own, he gave them a lot of forage.

I got sick a while ago
Oh, here we go. First off I am a member of the class of '71. That was a bit ago, if I must say so. It was and I will say I missed a large portion of this period for one reason or another. Time or material may have had something to do with it. Maybe, I didn't care.
